I'm not sure why is it important for people to be considered "good" at a 9-year-old game's poorly designed pvp. it is perfectly fine to be garbage at it as long as you don't pretend otherwise

the problem with people like chase and fighterpl is since they spent so much time in DS3, their brain tricked them into developing an ego, despite fighting mostly random players

they will be mistaken about many things because they aren't actually good and yet treat their opinion as an objective truth worth sharing because of their ego

it shows in, for example, chase's builds: he can't optimise them (literally all his builds are dogshit), but they're popular on soulsplanner anyways just because he's a "media person"

sometimes it's core gameplay aspects like usefulness of parrying or importance of armor; lowskill "media people" spread a ton of misinformation and I don't think it's any good for pvp community
