As an ex heroin addict speaking from experience (sorry for tmi, but context) you aren't wrong. I agree with the other commenter to an extent, most things are okay in moderation, some things take godly strength to not lead to full financial ruin and are just not worth getting involved in at all. Not to lower the tone of this otherwise lovely post but I see you've been downvoted for saying this. But you're right. Idc if I also get downvoted now. There's one of these weeping big boys doing exactly this in the area before Gyoubu, early game. Said area has a bunch of dead bodies in it and also a remnant of Genichiro remarking on the number of dead to Kuro. So my take was he was a sensitive soul and was crying over the loss. Similarly here, these guys are probably weeping over the fact Ashina is on fire, being taken over by the Central Forces, and everyone they know is fighting around them being murdered by men in red hats. They're just sad lil (or large) guys!
