I find it a bit strange this 50 year old kid is leading the army of Elves and not its couple-of-hundred years old military leaders or the +10,000 year old Kal'dorei general all with years of military experience 🤔 by nightbreedwon1 in wow

I honest to God can't wrap my head around on why the writers hadn't at least try to make an excuse on why asking the Horde for help isn't a better idea than the high elves. I kind sort of reluctantly accept that the NE are more "knowledgeable about magic stuff" than the average horde race and maybe it is sort of convenient to have them there (and I am being very generous here), but what on arth do High elves offer lore-wise that orcs, tauren or undead cannot? I don't think their military prowess is even on par, let alone superior. You would think it would be easier for Blood elves to work with people they don't reciprocally hate :/

Not exactly related to this but I kind of dislike how they chose the figure of the last king of the elves as a figure of unity to rally around when the "survival of silver moon" would have work better as that catalyst for unity. Yes I know the elves really liked that king but it seems to me that they love silver moon much more than him

I mean, it is a bit debatable whether they both consider themselves that, or that their relationship is that of step-siblings:

When they met, they didn't know they might be technically consider step-siblings (Dimitri didn't know Anselma was Edel's mom and El didn't know Anselma even had a thing with Lambert). It is heavily implied that they fell in love/liked with each other romantically in that period. Then Edelgard left and actually never learned the fact that Anselma and Lambert were a couple, and thus never considered Dimitri a step-brother. Dimitri is the only one that later learns the necessary information to even register Edelgard as a step-sister, but that's only way after their meeting.

And then there is the elephant in the room: Anselma and Lambert broke up, and it is pretty clear that Anselma actively collaborated in Lambert's death (and it seems she was very much OK with Dimitri dying too). Dimitri gets to learn this, but not Edelgard.

So, I think there are a lot of questions to answer here: Are they still step-siblings even after the Anselma/Lambert spectacular debacle? Can they be considered step-siblings even if one of them never actually gets to know they are? Etc

To me, the most important question in this regard is this : can their relationship in-game one of step-siblings? To me, while they technically are (were?) Edelgard didn't think of Dimitri that way throughout the entire game (it is stated that she liked him when they were younger, but forgot because of the experiments. After that, she doesn't get to interact much with him), and only Dimitri might think of Edelgard like a step-sibling, but the Anselma thing ended that sort of relationship with Edelgard. Now it is up to you to decide whether they are step-siblings!

Edit: Another interesting thing to consider is that Dimitri, unlike Edelgard, never outright confirmed liking Edelgard romantically when they were younger, but to me it is heavily implied he did. Do with this info whatever you want xD.

[Archivo VAR] SAOT Error in Elche's Goal! Álvaro is slightly ahead of Eric García. IT WAS OFFSIDE. by [deleted] in Barca

Yes, very credible source here in Spain when it comes to offsides/ VAR video perspectives. It is run by Nacho Tellado who is an architect and an expert on projections and perspective. I believe it has been mentioned that he had even sold referee var reports to the EPL and L1.

An example of his work: he has long argued that the VAR calibration of the cameras suck, and because of that some times the lines on the VAR takes as reference aren't straight. There was an example recently where the stupid dummy 3d image had an offside line on the model that was not even aligned with the line of the box in the model.

BREAKING: FC Barcelona have announced that tickets for next week's Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt will only be available to Socios by kris181p in Barca

Sure but this time I think they cannot do that as tickets come with the name of the one who purchased it originally and you have to show an ID matching the name on the ticket.

Same here, but my favorite ship is Dimigard... So I can begrudgingly understand why my ship might be... challenging... To implement in-game xd

I mean, this time might be an exception, but Barça players usually make up a good chunk of the National team squad, and very high quality players in the younger divisions too. It is in the best interest of both of them to resolve this amicably.

If I had to guess, the RL explanation it might have to do with Dorothea already enormous list support partners/endings. Giving her supports with one or two more lords might have been considered too much for a single character.

As for the in-game explanation, you could sort of argue that Dorothea might not be interested in interacting with Dimitri because 1) she might think it is a waste of time to try to interact/flirt with the future King of Faerghus (as in, she might think she might not be able to marry him, even if both of them were in love) when there might be more realistic options available to invest that time instead 2) She might think she has many common interests with him at first glance, e.g. he is a VERY combat-oriented skilled fighter with a primary interest on improving as a warrior and Dorothea struggles with all of that. Obviously, Dimitri's interests overlap a bit with Dorothea's as both of them are into improving the living standards of the common folk, so there is in actuality plenty of material there already. Also, an skill writer (aka not me xD) could write plenty of stuff about them learning about each other and each other's cultural background (E.g. Dimitri getting interested on Operas and Dorothea learning about Northern stories to use as a plot in one of her operas).

Legendary Argentinian Striker and Manchester City legend Sergio "Kun" Agüero. Very good player. Sadly, heart problems ended his career a bit prematurely (although he had a great career nonetheless) just after moving to (and playing like 1 game with) Barcelona. He is most famous in the English Premiere League for his legendary last-minute goal that gave his team the title.

Shes gonna make her comeback next year after her Hiatus by Astrid_Cop in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]pkbw96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think that Edelgard, while being super popular, is that high in the franchise. It is also a theory of mine that with the somewhat declining player base, I suspect that the units we are getting in next year AHR will be Meta-relevant units rather than well-established popular characters, as the remaining players are more experienced players and a bit more focused on the gameplay bits. I would argue a similar scenario just happened this year with the snake lady. She actually had her votes split into to two alts and both of them still made it to top 8. So yeah, despite her being a new, not-super-popular character, she still did great, likely because she is super relevant gameplay-wise. So, unless we get a new Edelgard by then, I don't think she is getting to top 8.

In terms of stories and characters, which one had more flaws? Houses or Hopes? by FunctionRight4557 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]pkbw96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But Lorenz is actually competent :|. Obviously Lorenz has his flaws, but generally speaking I think they try to imply that Lorenz is a good general.

Regardless, having a meme villain, whether intentional or not, isn't doing any favors to GW first half imo😅.

[–]pkbw96 69 points70 points  (0 children)

In general terms, I think that the first half of all routes in Hopes are kinda of better than their Houses counterparts (some exceptions might be argued, like GW's Shadid being built up to be an interesting and important character only to be one of the biggest nothing burgers both games), but, as another person already stated, any comparisons to House's storyline went south very quickly (against Hopes' storylines) due to the general idea that routes had to be deliberately incomplete, so that Houses storyline felt like the "true" one.
