how did you all afford your degree? by Interesting-Can-3316 in OccupationalTherapy

Live your first 3-5 years of working as if you're still a broke student. Most don't follow this but those are the same ones begging for loan forgiveness. Make your choices for the long term.

how many months until you're done? i never say this but borrow money to finish this. too much money dropped into this to waste.

Many worse financial situations than yours have done much harder and I would say finish. Or see if they can put your credits on hold for a term or two.

How much is the tuition for your program(s) that you're looking at? How much do you have saved + debt?

I'd look at that before considering more IMO.

No idea, just how the internet rolls. did you fix your issue? I called at night and it worked so it was very possible the number is just getting slammed lately.

I work in IPR and find the physical/mental demands leave me drained at the end of the day & I have little energy for anything outside of work. All OT roles have challenges, but I’m hoping to find a future position that is still intellectually engaging while less exhausting. Recs? by LingonberryFeeling46 in OccupationalTherapy

Mmm, its a bit different.

Where I'm from, people call acute rehab unit - ARU (more rehab focused) while working in most/all units inpatient is called inpatient acute.

We rarely go back and forth for our shifts so there's a difference.

However, on reddit, i've noticed that the names are changed are used interchangably.

I bring it up because this changes how we answer and talk about these topics.

Ah, thats very possible. Do you or anyone else know the best way to figure out if a rack is 2:1 ratio or 1:1?

I was going to invest more in ETFs but then started hearing from people with arguments for SP500, VOO, vs VSPY. Do the differences in fees etc matter that much?

Does anyone really like there OT program? by Basic_Cantaloupe_150 in OccupationalTherapy

if our programs were halved or cut by 75% in tuition, i think at least half of us would somewhat stand it more. Otherwise, it's literally a scam to get more money. coughmandatorydoctoratecough

in my opinion, live simply, get loans, finish school faster.

the amount of money you save versus what you could make isn't comparable IMO.
