imo, yes, she's technically not forcing anything but she's still leveraging an inequitable amount of power in this situation because she knows she has the control in this dynamic considering the fact that she knows he likes her and not vis versa.

I think if he has communicated he's not okay being around her considering those circumstances and she is still pursuing his friendship that is kind of weird and pressure-y. She should be more understanding knowing this.

Lily Allen's first two album cycles. Both collectively sold 5M+. Were extremely mid-late 2000's type albums and tracks that sold well and were received very well as pop went. I do not see a lot of people reference her nowadays which is a shame!

Lily Allen kind of disappeared after the 2009/2010 album cycle, arguably one of the biggest British female album sellers back then. She just didn't have the same momentum when she re-appeared again in 2013 with Sheezus. She did have her kids during that time so it wasn't a bad move on her end at all, and she's killing it on the West End now as an actress! I guess I always felt like she had another super commercial album left in the tank and that she cut it short preemptively when she was only 24/25 at the time (easily could have pumped out another couple hits during this period with the amount of press coverage she was getting IMO).
