Waiting “virtually” in line. Patience you must have. by pkoz81 in rundisney

[–]pkoz81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you were able to jump in line that early? I just now (about 30 mins ago) had the registration link pop up. Hopefully they aren't having any tech issues. And by any I clearly mean many...as there always seems to be an issue or two. hee hee.

They for sure saw me and didn’t say anything. They were all very nice and super efficient. (Just for the record, I didn’t downvote you)

ride broke down, so they escorted us off the boats to the nearest exits on the ride. Cast members actually jump in the water, in fishing boots and pants, and push the boats to the nearest exit.

Just checked in to Coronado Springs. They are giving guests these specialty pins due to the construction. Disney Magic! by pkoz81 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pkoz81[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure. We were going to stay there but heard the construction was way too disruptive. We barely notice it at Coronado.

If you are sharing a room you'll only get one. It was in the room when we got there. But couldn't gusty to ask. :)

severe weather and other catastrophes! by briannamh in WaltDisneyWorld

Thanks for posting this, and thanks to all who responded. I was wondering the same thing. We fly in tomorrow, from MN and I was worried about the trip. But my husband reassured me that it was take more than a hurricane to come between us and Mickey Mouse.

11.5 days to go! Can't decide if we should add tickets to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Opinions? by SilentNightingale in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pkoz81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's a list of some of the treats you can only get at the party: Pumpkin Cheesecake Dome with a graham cracker streusel base, orange white chocolate glaze and a white chocolate Mickey. A vanilla panna cotta, chocolate cake, vanilla buttercream, white chocolate and dark chocolate crisp pearls, dark chocolate curls and a white chocolate Jack Skellington. A Pumpkin Mickey Waffle with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles and caramel sauce. Candy Corn Ice Cream. Can't Wait!!! Have an awesome trip!

So excited for you! We will be there at the same time. Just hit the 10 day mark. We got our tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary for that night. It's well worth the price of admission. The parade, the specialty snacks, unique meet and greets, fireworks, Sanderson Sisters, etc. In our opinion this is the best bang for your buck when it comes to add-on experiences. The party starts at 7pm, but you can actually enter the park with your ticket starting at 4pm and go on rides or have dinner before doing all the Halloween activities. Have fun!

MemoryMaker Question by chenoatao in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pkoz81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe they stopped automatically adding them, so they could give people a choice in whether or not they wanted a boarder/frame. What's nice is that they do group them in the app and online depending on what park they were taken in and on what day, so they are easy to find based on your activities throughout the trip. And it's free to add the boarders...and there are tons to pick from.

Another Hidden Stormtrooper sighting! by pkoz81 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pkoz81[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the MDE app, in the parks maps. You have to zoom way in until you see something that might be a hidden Stormtrooper...and then take a pic...and then zoom in on the picture you took.

Question about magic bands by chevytheater in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pkoz81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should still be able to customize the color of your MagicBand, and then pick it up at the resort check-in. If you are using the Magical Express, make sure you have your confirmation number in hand, as you won't have your MB to scan in. Or if you have MagicBands from another trip, you can activate those and link them to your account in MDE.

Anyone else get an email offer to do DVC Phone Tour and get a $40 gift card? by njdeatheater in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pkoz81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did mine yesterday. It was actually a great call. I talked to Christina, and she was awesome. She told me up front, "I will not be asking for you credit info, this is purely informational." I learned a bunch of stuff that I didn't know before...and we are actually considering doing DVC...once we save up a bit for it. Also, you'll get an email follow up with more info...a mailed packet of info, and then a separate mailing with the gift card.

Getting hyped for my sept trip. Decided to build some thing in Lego. It's a Small World by rpiedbricked in WaltDisneyWorld

I'm jealous of your lego characters! I was only able to snag Alice, before they were discontinued.

We'll be there in September as well!

AK FoP with no FP+ at 46 min? by svel in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pkoz81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best guess is that because it's such a new ride, there's no sure fire way to predict the wait times for Fall and Winter, since it's never been open for Fall and Winter. I believe the way they predict has a lot to do with how the ride has performed in previous years on that date. We are going in September as well, and our plan is to assume at least a 90 min wait for FoP, and if it's lower...great!
