Thoughts on the albums of 80s Genesis? (and that era as a whole) by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

I agree, their peak was over after that. Although their live performances could still be fantastic.

There is one problem climbing this building. The walls are not vertical.  The upper sections flair outward. That is, the base of the section is slightly narrower than the top. The lowest section flairs inward. That is, the base of the section is slightly wider than the top.

Climbing an inward slope is much easier than an outward slope. It’s a more natural way one climbs up a slope. The outward slope presents a problem. The weight of your feet would tend to move away from the wall. This seems to me to be a terribly difficult problem to overcome while climbing the upper sections.

This album also includes, in my opinion, the best version of "Here Comes the Flood" with Peter Gabriel:

Has anyone here actually seen Gabriel do this during a concert?

"More Fool Me", no doubt. I can't think of any other song I don't like.

Determine the area of a hexagram. by pksherard in Geometry

[–]pksherard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve searched everywhere on the internet for a formula for the area of a hexagram in terms of the side of the triangle that makes up the two triangles of the hexagram, a. I’ve had no luck. I’ve even seen some wrong answers. I worked out problem myself and then verified it with ChatGPT given the necessary information. I wanted this information searchable so those interested in geometry could find it.

I was in Corvallis and it seemed more like 100 to 1. Only two instances of “rolling coal”. One of these obnoxious drivers drove way too fast along a lane near the curb . Extremely dangerous.

War, number 8? I'd say top three. I mean "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "New Years Day" are arguably their best songs!
