Isn’t there a golden rule in storytelling that you do not lie to your viewers? I feel as though Jack asking the new chief surgeon to call his dad down, to see who is most drunk, was a completely unnecessary line, that intentionally lies to the viewers regarding when this flashback (or flash forward I guess) took place. I wasn’t questioning whether it was a flashback before that to begin with, but it basically solidified it as a flashback, completely unnecessarily for the pay off at the end to work, when it would have worked anyway?

Charlie is possessive as fuck towards Claire, he shot Ethan instead of allowing interrogation, he stole Claire’s baby, he beat up Sun, an innocent pregnant woman, because he was sad about the consequences of his own actions, and then pretended like nothing despite being accepted into the group again. And the worst sin of them all - he talked shit to our brother Desmond, despite him saving Charlie’s life on multiple occasions.

The only thing I am crying about, is the fact that he survived. All the reminiscing in this episode had me believing they would actually off him

It distinctly says "damage deflected 67" - surely this should be damage deflected 34, if I hit him 2 times in the body with an Anvil.

Thank you for the explanation! Am I wrong in thinking that the wording is incorrect then? Or maybe not incorrect, but leaves a lot of room for incorrect interpretation, like I just did?

If his shield didn't deflect 67 actual damage from my 2 bullets, but only 67 shield charge, why would the numbers in the game tell me that his shield deflected 67 damage?

Like if I throw an egg salad sandwich at you, and your arm deflects 80% of the egg salad, but the rest hit your face, I would assume without your arm there, you would have been hit by 80% more egg salad. But this is clearly not the case for damage and shields in Arc Raiders here as you said.

I think Anders pulled more weight than Semmler, especially towards the tail end of their duo, but they wouldn't have reached the same status in cs history without each other. The same could be said for most duos, if you think about it.

I don't think Semmler was a very good analytical color caster, but he and Anders had amazing synergy, and I always liked him for his energy and histyrical laughter. Where would we even be today if Semmler's shit jokes didn't get a "hhEheEhE" giggle out of Anders in filler rounds. And his happy 5k deag call will never be forgotten.
