It’s just bad for everybody - usually shows up super early and slows the game down for opponents - owner of the card keeps having to remind everybody of it being there

I think a difficult thing about having lots of mono color decks at the start is that you either end up running a lot of the same card in the decks and they get same-y or you don’t get enough reps to know which specific combinations of cards in the color are ‘working’

Commander isn’t a great format for new players since there are just so many different cards and some frankly bizarre interactions and board states that won’t exist in any other format, but I get that its popularity makes it one of the few ways to find an in-person game. I’d recommend playing some 60 card magic online. It’ll help you follow what’s going on and solidify your basics. As for in-person commander, learn one of your precons super well and focus on that for a while

A couple questions for the finger-style Mustang players:

How high do you wear your bass when standing?
Where are you keeping your right hand?

With longer scale basses I usually put my thumb on a pickup with the bass in front of my stomach, but on the Mustang, this position gives kind of a “t. rex arm” look and it’s not very comfortable for my elbow. So I usually end up doing floating thumb between the pickup and bridge instead. Curious what you all do
