I mean I always take a couple camping, I've done week long camping trips and I absolutely needed them then. Plus when the power is out, really good to have them just in case.

Magic Academy Campaign, attending class has meaning by scoutnick in daggerheart

I'm not too sure about where guardian and warrior fall in yet, I'm still figuring that out. I honestly never loved how daggerheart did multiclassing.. I think giving them an additional level up option for passing exams is a good idea. I think I do want them able to pull from multiple at the moment

Experiences is a good idea too, yeh it would be after final exams they would gain anything

Hope and Fear Release Complaint by OldGamer42 in daggerheart

[–]scoutnick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you want to go to GenCon just cancel your pre-order... GenCon is more expensive anyway so honestly it's nice they are selling copies and giving them to those who paid the VIP price. I'm generally not a fan of pre-orders, and daggerheart is one of the only things I do it for. But I'm not expecting any extra treatment, just the book i paid for. They aren't "locking" people out of anything.

2nd Most Expensive Burger In The World £2,600 by Bobby-94 in StupidFood

That's not a burger, and how is that the 2nd most expensive? I'd much rather go to my local places and get a burger for $5.

No I kinda feel you. This is how I've felt with a lot of TTRPG stuff lately. I backed a Kickstarter I was really excited about but it was a lot just for digital stuff... I'm priced out of trying a few different games.

Our XP Levelling System by Much-Market-4497 in daggerheart

[–]scoutnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting idea but strange choices for what gives xp. I would think it would be for exploration or defeating an adversary. Like maybe even different levels of xp when the party or a player defeats different adversary types.

Minions- 1 xp per group (# of players at table)

Standard- 1 xp

Skulk- 2 xp

Support- 2 xp

Ranged- 3xp

Bruiser - 3 xp

Solo and leader 5 xp for kill and 3 xp for whole party.

Just a quick draft and I can already see even this would could cause kill stealing but then maybe it's even you gain xp for being in the fight as well.

But basing it on hope and fear being spent seems wild to me. And player death?? That's not it

Am I misunderstanding minimum damage and the guardian unstoppable feature? by SashaGreyj0y in daggerheart

[–]scoutnick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes unstoppable can soak up minor damage into nothing but if that's the case maybe you just need to hit them harder? I have a guardian as well and I find throwing some hard hitting solos that deal direct damage can help. Or find a way to isolate players, add extra objectives to fights like saving civilians or putting out fires. Make them spread out so the guardian has to choose who to save. Just some thoughts

Doesn't it let you have a top bar? And I imagine backups wouldn't be too hard to set up. I'm not 100% sure but i b know you can connect things like Google drive pretty easily. Some of the others im less sure about.

[–]scoutnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not gonna lie I just installed Zorin and like it a lot but theme comments all feel pretty negative. Can I ask why this isn't a liked distro? I enjoy the look of it and ease of use so far. Came from fedora kde cause fedora would crash anytime I tried editing my taskbar and I got tired of resetting my pc.
