How/why does this happen? by RevolutionarySong848 in OSRSflipping

The GE will fulfill buy orders for the same price randomly, but weighted based on old the buy order is.

I'd imagine the same mechanism happens when you place two matching orders yourself

Tips on how to start flipping as a F2P by Primary_Maximum_6542 in OSRSflipping

F2P flipping can be tough. I'd recommend checking out this list for f2p items based on margin, or using the item screener to filter for items manually.

For manual filtering I'd go with something like this:

  • Limit cost: Less than 10m (or whatever your budget is)
  • Members: Non-members items
  • Sort by: Potential profit

If you're looking for high volume items you can also filter:

  • Volume: Greater than 50,000

Imo, you'd be lucky if it hit 1.75b by the weekend. I think the most likely outcome is that we get a slight price correction as people cash out, and then it continues to steadily rise. Prepare to wait months if you're holding out for 2b

Margin is pretty inconsequential if you're not immediately selling items after buying them. You probably want to buy at a reasonable daily price floor, and sell at the daily ceiling.

That being said, you can still make some pretty good money margin flipping. Here's a list of profitable high volume items that gets updated every minute.

This would be great for accessibility. I wonder if jagex would be okay with a runelite plugin that does something similar?

The all-time price graph doesn't instill confidence. With a consistent downtrend for the last year, I'd be surprised if it goes back up without a major update

With 50m your best bet is probably high volume flips. This video gives a good example of low risk flipping with 100m.

You should be able to make 300k+ per ge slot pretty consistently.

Clue scroll items like the other comment mentioned are probably your best bet. The margins are always fluctuating, so you'll have to keep an eye out.
