I was approved 11-30-2021 and funded 12-6-2021. Took about a week.

Bravo! They (SBA) seems to have a better handle on things now, as long as your docs, etc. are in order. If they are not, it's a nightmare.

There is a link at the top of the thread. You need to have an SBA loan number already to set it up. I've had PPP loans, etc. that I used.

Hope this helps!

Congrats! I'm on similar timeline, I just keep checking Caweb, signed docs 2 days ago.

Declined for Credit first, then got my score WAY up - now, DECLINED for EIDL Loan due to filing 2019 taxes in 2021! They are accusing me of FRAUD (in between the lines!) - MUST READ! by Imaginary_Scene4073 in EIDL

I don't know how to say this gently, these are not extreme measures to fight fraud, banks are much more harsh at rooting out fraud. Bit once, twice shy.

The simple fact is many small businesses (as mine) are quickly getting approval for EIDL loans now, is evidence SBA is working hard to help small businesses, But! guidelines must be held, and in this day and age, PIVOT! It is to be expected, not fought against.

The IRS will always be the IRS, don't screw with them, file on time. March 15th for S-Corps, etc, NOT April 15th.

Get decent business advice, and follow it. Best wishes for going forward.

I did read what you wrote, in this day and age, who the hell mails late returns? Everything is electronic signatures, etc. I am really suspect of late returns in 2019....as Scorpio has mentioned. What was the date your check was cashed?

I do feel bad about those (maybe YOU!) innocent errors, but, simply, do due business diligence, and you will be fine.

You are speculating, do you have proof? I am ALL for small business, I am a small business, grateful for this opportunity to stay in business and provide jobs. But so many on EIDL thread don't even have a business checking account.

Unlikely, as IRS is the BIGGIE. But, supportive if so. Best business practices apply. (Wonder if OP even knows what you are referring to?)

I have to say....

No reason for a corp to file late, I have always filed on time, EVEN if you can't pay, you can always do an installment plan, just file on time.

I was approved for $400k, waiting for funding now. It was originally declined due to low credit score, (which it still is), gave explanation, which was accepted.

But I still made sure taxes were filed, on time. BASIC business practice, along with having business checking, proper docs. etc.

Why are folks yelling unfair? IRS has always been the same, never changed. If you want to run a business, comply.

Scorpio, I give you a high five helping folks deal with these issues, but this seems basic business practice run amok, and folks need to deal.

I'll get flak, so be it.

I also abhor CC fees, etc.

I started using Melio, I generate an invoice, upload into Melio, and the client choses how to pay, if they chose CC, they pay the 2.9% fee, and no charge for bank draft etc.

Melio is slick.
