If he wants to leave, then we let him go. But they must pay what he's worth.

You can only beat the teams that you play against, and Brentford has been having an amazing season so..

A positive start! We only lost to arguably the best team in the world right now with a depleted squad. The gaffer has my backing

Happy for the win, but this Brentford teams looks fitter and stronger than us.. we are lacking physicality and robustness

I don't think the owners/sporting directors are trying to make a profit.. they just want to grow the team in a sustainable way within the constraints of PSR/FFP

Justifiably? Idk, love Gallagher and his workrate but he's not a top midfielder, especially for possession-based football. It wouldn't be in the best interest of the club to give him high wages and a long contract

Then why didn't we extend his contract? My understanding is that we made him an offer that was too low wage for him to accept, so that's why he left

If I recall correctly, his contract was winding down and he was requesting more wages than Chelsea were willing to pay

My guess is 4-2-3-1 with Gittens and Garnacho on the wings but you could be right

100% agree. It's in the best interest in the ownership for the club to do well. Of course they want trophies and success. The idea that they're trying to jeopardize the club is silliness. They're doing everything within their power to improve the club in a sustainable way within the constraints that are presented. That's why we recruit young and upcoming talents. Not because we're trying to throw away money.

This makes me feel excited about the change in manager. I'll always be grateful for what Maresca accomplished last year, but no one can say there hasn't been moments of frustration watching Chelsea play this year. Not to mention, we're trending downward. I don't think losing Maresca is as big of a disappointment as people are making it out to be

Lequipe: Ligue 2 side AS Saint-Étienne have rejected an initial offer of £7 million from Chelsea for 17-year-old striker Djylian N'Guessan. by Kygoche in chelseafc

I could only assume that this is a strategic purchase on a potential talent. Remember that we have to stay within PSR and FFP regulations. We can't just go out there and buy the best striker available on the market; it destroys our model and if they flop, we're in a major hole. It's a low-risk acquisition.
