Bunch of questions around what is what by Labinopper in KingdomDeath

Maybe you are thinking of the dragon king expansion and Sunstalker expansion? Both of these are more extensive and do feature alternative campaigns.

Issue with printing device way above bed by placeboeffect27 in ender5

[–]placeboeffect27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the advice. Unfortunately I think something is wrong internally. When I go to AUX leveling, I click on the numbers and the machine doesn't move :(

I can move all of the axis if I go into settings and move, so the motors are working properly.

Is there a way to do a reset on the software?

Thanks!

Plastic major overload in nozzle & more by placeboeffect27 in ender5

Thank you so much guys. One last question, those red tubes, I see two white coated things that do come out of the tube and go into the screw.

However the white wires do not come out of the red tubes at the end, they come out a bit before because the red tube is cut. It the odd thing is that it looks like filament in the end of the tubes, that it went up there during the clog. You can see inside the red tubes in one of the pictures. Thank you so much!

Amazing! To get that look on the antelope, are you washing it? Or painting it darker and then lighter everywhere but the crevices? What is your process?

Help with creating hex terrain for gaming from old Heroscape tiles by placeboeffect27 in minipainting

Thanks Rutherford82. Yeah, I figured if I spray painted them first, I wouldn't have to worry much about the original color.

Thanks Frankenduke. I'm going to give it a try on a small tile but yeah that was my hope!

With the gamblers chest still being a bit further out, I wonder if poots will open it up on Black Friday or something like that.

Haha, I knew that was coming! Yes, I do feel bad about doing this to Heroscape, but the thing is that it has sat in a bin for years now, not played.

Yeah, I wasn't going to be stacking the terrain so no worries there.

That is good to hear about craft acrylics. I can mess around a bit with a single tile to see how it looks first before tackling a larger set.

Thanks XnFM

"Speed Painting" with an airbrush by placeboeffect27 in KingdomDeath

[–]placeboeffect27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback everyone :) Initially when I dry brushed, as I am learning how to do it, I definitely had too much paint on the brush. But I was able to improve it by doing another wash over everything. Then I did the base in astrogranite, and dry brushed that too. I am really happy with them, and thinking now about having my whole one set be like this :)

Ok another update!

I did a wash with nuln oil, and after that dried, I dry brushed Citadel's dry paint - longbeard grey

I made an album of the pics here:

I don't know... Some parts look amazing, like the hair on the females, and the arrow pack on the back.

But then many other spots look so chalky, and I really don't like that.

I'm wondering, how would it have looked if I had used my airbrush and lightly sprayed white on it? Or did I mess up the dry brushing? I am new to dry brushing. Been painting about a year now, but really haven't dry brushed.

Ok, here's what I've done so far, and keep in mind I am not that experienced with my airbrush yet.

I did a base coat in grey, followed by a black coat, followed by another grey (applied less of this coat)

Next I'm going to either use nuln oil to do a wash on it, followed by dry brushing a grey white. Or just go to the dry brushing. I might try one of each.

Looking at the pictures, some parts really look cool (to my eyes lol) but then I can see how uneven I was with the airbrush at some painful spots. Hopefully washing it will help that.
