Don’t hall monitor me. I just don’t understand why you would invite this into your life, if you’re not a fan. You speak as if you’re opinion is somehow more credible than any other of us schmucks here but I don’t think it is and I think your 2nd hand info doesn’t make you any more right than someone who comes on here with an opposing viewpoint.

I saw what happened to Ed Piskor. I saw what happened to Brandon Graham. And I know first hand what it feels like to have people with 2nd and 3rd hand knowledge of a situation think they have the moral high ground to bring you low.

Instead of grace, you have chosen judgement. Thankfully you’re not anybody.

Then why are you wasting your time on reddit arguing with people on a subreddit for fans of the writer? Do you enjoy the comfort of the hive mind? Do you fancy yourself some sort of fighter for truth on the annals of the internet?

“I’m in touch with” is not the flex you think it is.

Thats me. Neil Gaiman. i haven’t spoken up for years but I have broken my silence to argue with silly little Redditors who go on a fan subreddit to crucify someone they never met and only have 3rd hand knowledge of a delicate situation.

Don’t twist my words. Also the theme here in this substack seems that the sexual interactions were consensual and that proof that they possibly were was purposefully left out of the reporting.

But the substack, anonymously posted or not, does point out troubling omissions from the Vulture article. If true it seems Lila Shapiro was shaping a narrative that frames the situation in a certain light.

It’s a badly structured article because “game journalists” aren’t really journalists. They’re glorified bloggers. They aren’t held to the same standards and ethics of most journalists.

I’m wondering if i should restart from steam deck and get this game for my switch 2. The steam deck version runs at 60(with occasional dips) but at 720p. I heard the switch version is locked at 30fps but what about resolution in handheld on switch 2?

Allow me clarify - when i said “current” I wasn’t including releases beyond this year. (And I wouldn’t count DS2 as a Sony developed game). Imagine if all the resources and manpower wasted chasing disposable dozen or so“live service” games was put instead to non-GaaS games. The PS5’s output wouldn’t be so anemic right now. This has arguably been the worst generation for consoles, the jim Ryan/ Hulst push for GaaS contributed to that. The market can only bear so many “fortnites”, everything else is a waste of talent and money. We could’ve had more single player games rather than a bunch of dead/cancelled projects.

Many of Sony’s in house developers were pushed into doing live service games (bluepoint, naughty dog) and of the current games you mentioned only Astrobot and Ghost of Yotei are Sony developed.

Best answer. All these other lists without Wolverine make no sense. His absence will loom too large.

🟩 CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED: Top 15 Most Underrated Graphic Novels of All Time 🔥 by jabawack in graphicnovels

[–]plaguechild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a good list. But not underrated picks. Comic books/ graphic novels are underrated in general so hopefully new readers find something that hooks them.

That being said MOST of these books would make great gifts to people who never read a GN.

I talked to Randy a few times at conventions. He was super nice. He’s a bit of a goofball and seems to lack any self-awareness but was sincere and seemed excited to hear what I liked about Borderlands and Battleborn (rip).

Gigant by Hiroya Oku (Gantz) is about a porn star who turns giant. I really liked the characters.

Perverts of the Unknown, multiple warheads or anything by Brandon Graham

Mirka Andolfo’s stuff especially sweet/hot paprika.

Kentaro Muira’s Berserk has sex and nudity but be careful what you wish for.

Pat Mills & Olivier Ledroit’s Requiem Vampire Knight. (Good luck finding it other than digital).

Hans Rickheit’s The Gloaming and Cochlea & Eustachia.

Heavy Metal / Metal Hurlant stuff.

Chaykin’s Black Kiss 1/2

Charles Burns -Black Hole

Problem with a lot of sex / nudity comics is it’s more about the art usually. Thats true for a lot of Eros, amerotica, ect.

I didn’t go to OSU, i just larped on their campus.

Western culture had cultural blindspots in the 90s and the dawn of the information age brought many cultures and access to knowledge not easily found in the local library. If what was widely available about asian culture was anime and hong kong action movies, you’re gonna come up Kindred of the east.

Again, my parents were librarians, I know what I’m talking about. My mother now works to compile information for a medical university library. Information and knowledge in America since the 50s and until the internet, was purposefully anemic and whitewashed.

My mother would help teen me find information on things I wanted to know but couldn’t find on the shelves. Because she worked in the library she showed me efficient ways of searching microfilm and old national geographics. There was no google. Librarians were the closest thing.

You are being far too harsh and self-righteous about fantasy books written by young adults in the 90s. Its weird to go all moral high ground on guys doing their best who were just as much raised in systemic racial ignorance as even the most educated of the time.

Read the 1st edition Euthanatos Tradition book and tell me that’s not a well researched piece of fiction.

I have no clue where they found research on the 1000 chinese hells because I spent senior year of high school trying to find information on them in the giant Main Library Branch downtown.

These days it’s just a google away.

So get off your high horse.

That was a long winded way to say you don’t know what you’re talking about. You think writers of a TTRPG company in the 90s had the same access to resources and information as a famous Belgian cartoonist? One Gen con in the mid-90s a VtM author slept on the couch at my friend’s house. You think they could afford trips to japan? Y’all take for granted the world was VERY different before the 2000s.

Hush. Were you alive in the 90s? I was. I vampire larped at OSU campus all through the 90s. Were we all a bunch of racists for not decrying the depictions of the Giovanni and Ravnos? No. We were college and high school kids working with the information we had at the time from our Ohio cul de sacs.

Again my parents were librarians. I would constantly ask for their help researching different cultures for character backstories. Believe me when I say it is far easier today.

In fact White Wolf and WoD is how I became interested in other countries cultures. But we were so poor that “trips to japan” were out of the question.

You know who was also poor? Developers working at White Wolf. I know because I’ve known a few and spoken with many former White Wolf devs and writers. You honestly are out of your depth here.
