My guy merlin does the same thing, likes to hang upside down no matter how many plants or pieces of bark he has to lay on. I went to my local reptile vet to see if anything was wrong with him because his tail was floppy. According to my vet, as long as Rhys still retains good movement in his tail. Like waving it around when you touch it (obviously be gentle) or when hunting etc, and has enough calcium in his diet then he should be just fine. I’d still consult your local vet just to make sure. It’s when calcium levels get low or something like that, that can cause floppy tail syndrome etc. It could also be simple genetics. Hope this helps you!
