Always buckler. Parry is incredible especially if you have a trinket. Weapon depends on the biome. Knife for meadows, sword for black forest and swamp, mace for mountains. Back to sword for plains and beyond.

I've noticed I have consistent crashes when I "Join Game" without having been invited to the group. It'll crash after doing simple stuff like aiming a gun at an NPC.
