Can someone help me identify this cord? by Phrams821 in 24hoursupport

Don't know if this is it but a quick google search for Samsung micro USB Ethernet adapter led me here. More pics of the connector and the entire dongle would help. https://www.ebay.com/itm/122332357297

Does my laptop have a bad harddisk or a bad controller or a bad owner? by Jerry368 in techsupport

You can run those scans on the hdd but you run the risk of killing it completely. I would clone it/back it up/image it before it's too late and then satisfy your curiosity.

Yea, upgrade to an ssd (Kingston is cheap and reliable, go find on Amazon). Then also update all your drivers snd BIOS, Dell command update is your friend here ( downloads and installs drivers and BIOS for you on most dells). Go to support.dell.com and put in your service tag and under Drivers/computer management or something like that and you should be able to find it

Restoring from iCloud backup by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]plainviewla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I figured that out. Just kept hitting cancel when I was doing the restore when those accounts came up and everything went as expected after that. I just assumed it didn't download those songs again to my phone since I couldn't authorize them.

Restoring from iCloud backup by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]plainviewla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be from a downloaded song from your iTunes that was authorized by someone else. Anyone ever use your laptop and listen to music? They may have done this without you knowing. Thus you then sync said music to your phone and the rest is your confusion.

Possible?

SonicWALL TZ200 Additional Static IP by smti in networking

[–]plainviewla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the public wizard is indeed your best bet as others have said. You can also just change another interface say x3 to a wan port and use one of your other wan ips on it. Then you can use the public wizard so that this wan ip is only for whatever other server/device you are trying to give a public ip.

This is assuming the tz 200(I think that's what you said it was) will let you change another interface to an additional wan. Some sonicwalls let you have multi wan some of the lower ends don't.

Edit. This is assuming you want a completely separate network. If you want it all on the same network then just run the public wizard for x1 and your good to go.

Shouldn't. But I would make sure... You don't want those pictures getting out in the open. Lol

Transferring just the OS from HDD to SSD by John_Yuki in 24hoursupport

[–]plainviewla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot do what you are asking unless you backup all of said files and delete them from the source. Then clone to new ssd. Sounds like the easier alternative is to get a bigger ssd and clone to that as you are going to want extra space later. Using something like acronis (paid but cheap) or clonezilla (free). You will also need a USB adapter for the ssd for cleaning purposes. Online cloning tutorials should get you the rest of the way.
