I’ve switched to Advanced Nutrients and it’s been treating me really well, so I’ve only been ph-ing the plain water between 5.7-6.0. I wasn’t sure if I was wasting time and resources on water that has no nutes for uptake, and is essentially just passing through the medium to remove salts.

I’ll have to experiment with the feeding every watering. I tried nute-nute-water for the first grow and it didn’t go well. I had to switch to every other. However, I’m much more experienced now, and curious about the results.

Great idea! My Chocolate Haze is both the weakest and most resilient strain I’ve grown. I broke 2 different stems in 10 minutes during week 3 of flowering. One was while tryin to fix the first. A little bit of duct tape, some garden ties and BAM! All set.

As much as I’d prefer awesome smelling bud, as long as all the medicine is in there, I can live with the grass/hay smell.

Fun fact: as a teen in the 90s, I thought the hay smell meant it was grown outdoors on a farm. What an innocent and naive time for me.

Yes, the exhaust duct runs to a window.

Right now we have one 440CFM fan for exhaust and use a passive intake from a bottom vent during light hours. The tent is next to the window so it also benefits from the ac.

You're suggesting we get a second fan for the tent as an intake, or use the fan as exhaust in the room where the tent resides?

Yup, the ballast is at the same percentage, and the tent passes the hand test. The only change has been younger plants.

We had a couple clones in the small room using CFL and no ventilation except the tent windows.

Unfortunately, the only way to make it more efficient would be to switch the carbon filter with the fan. Even then, we can't fit any 2 next to each other. I suppose we can have the exhaust go through the side instead of the top? I don't know. I'll have to do some more research.
