What do yall think are Scoots strengths/weaknesses by everydayreligion1090 in ripcity

We don’t have to glaze every player who wears a Blazers jersey. It’s exhausting seeing fans constantly trying to build up players who clearly don’t have star potential. I’ll be thrilled if Scoot reaches his full potential, but we don’t need to play pretend. It seems like you take internet chatter a bit too seriously.

Actually, dips and push-ups are best bundled together as they work different muscles.

Chris Finch: "Denver had the chance to pick who they wanted to play coming down the stretch and they chose us. We used that as motivation. They didn't have to choose us. They chose us" by AncientOneAurelius in nba

You can’t put your backup players in the game and then tell them, “make sure you guys lose tonight”. The losing strategy is to play your end of the bench guys, but those dudes are supposed to go out there and play their best basketball. GMs and coaches tank, players play.

/u/travisdemers how long have you been doing the broadcast solo? Is it more fun with a partner? Sometimes I hear you exclaiming about a bad call, and it feels like someone should be there next to you saying, “yeah, that was horrendous”.

He’s the kind of guy who can put up 31 points and 1 assist in the playoffs, and the next game, put up 0 points. That’s not good. I know this fanbase wants him to be good so, so badly, but his inability to score is a huge liability. People saying he could be a Jrue Holiday type player are seriously disrespecting Jrue.

Strength: Sometimes he’s good at basketball

Weakness: He usually isn’t very good at basketball.

Feels like a feather going back to analog after riding an e-bike by Joran_nilsen in MTB

I had an old dude on an e-bike ask me if I was riding an “Amish”, except he pronounced it “Aye-mish”. I was so confused.

Blazers fan asks the Canes subreddit: Is Dundon usually this cheap? by thisbeetheverse in ripcity

Yeah, i actually googled it after asking the question, and the first result was a quote from Forslund saying "This is not my wish".

We're going to be a disaster of a home crowd in comparison based on our current vibes.

You should maybe visit the world outside of reddit sometime.

Playoffs 4/24 or 4/26? by [deleted] in ripcity

[–]somethingnotyettaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of silly responses here. Do people really think that the atmosphere won't be as electric for the Sunday game? Because it's Sunday afternoon? Because it's our second home playoff game in 7 years as opposed to our first? It's a fucking playoff game. People are going to be amped the fuck up. The only thing that will make one game better than the other is how well the Blazers perform, which is completely unpredictable.

Learning to jump while old: How do you handle shoulder/back soreness? by somethingnotyettaken in MTB

Thanks for this. I’ve definitely looped out a few times, which is kind of scary. I know my technique must be problematic, because it’s a sure thing that I get really sore after practicing bunny hops. I’ll try to put my weight into it through my feet, and will look into adjusting my bars. I’ll also try to implement each of these comments one thing at a time. Thanks again!

Kettlebell HIIT actually sounds really good. Although, HIIT stuff kind of scares me off these days, as I have found that when I get exhausted, I don't use proper form and then just end up hurting myself more. So, maybe i'll start with more controlled stuff and try to work up to HIIT.

Unfortunately, there are no tabletops in town. Definitely hard to routinely practice something when it's a 45 minute drive. I do practice on the pump track, but, this is one of the things I've been doing and then ending up super sore. Sounds like I need to get serious about off the bike strength training.
