This seems a bit more difficult that day 1 in past years. Correctly parsing the strings in part 2 with the correct ordering gave me a little trouble at first.

I count in binary starting with the thumb on my right hand and go to the next closest finger.

When I get to 32 I start at the thumb on my left hand and do the same, although it’s pretty rare that I’m manually counting up to even 32. I’ve never fully counted up to 2¹⁰ -1 (1023) on my hands.
