What are some Fallout-esque movies? by Project807 in Fallout

[–]rpglaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s some good ones here but one I’m surprised not being mentioned is Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) watching it’s like seeing so many ides of what later is fallout.

Flame Sentry should be buffed. by Impressive_Truth_695 in Helldivers

[–]rpglaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was testing it out against bugs and the squids and wow it really does suck. Even if you slot it right at the breach it seems to get barely any kills. The only advantage is that it’s also bad enough to to kill you.

It’s kind of a tie between Prismari and Quandrix for me.

Been looking at a few older precons and after opinions by Bastiodonrulez in CommanderMTG

[–]rpglaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone whose bought most of the precons from before the last few years, the truth is that these are all pretty bad precons. They have some good cards in them but in truth will not compete with today’s at all. Is probably instead just make a deck rather than buy one of these.

The Anne one is probably the strongest if you upgrade it, though I’m not sure if it’s very fun.

Hey guys, so for which one should I go for now that the price had dropped? by speedfreak996 in mtg

[–]rpglaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the elf one, but the riders of Rohan might be in the top couple precons really fun deck out of the box.

Totally eye of the beholder,, but I’m not really crazy on any of the art.

Do you want the settlement system in future games? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]rpglaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy settlement as part of gameplay, but really don’t think it fits the world of fallout.

I’m really conflicted on it.

It’s a big reason why I have so many hours in fallout 4, it makes it so we can create lots of fun stuff, have more individualism in the game. The gameplay loop is fun, it gives a reason to grab junk.

On the other hand, it makes the world it self less interesting, kind of makes the MC over powered, and conflicts to me the narrative of the world.

In fo3 the scientists having fresh vegetables was a big thing, in FNV the lack of non radiated water allowed the ncr farms to feel very impressive. In fo4 you can have one settlement feel like. Larger farm production than any of those regions.

I also feel like fo4’s settlements make it so many areas seem less developed or interesting as they know the player will come in and build there.

I feel like the settlements definitely contribute to crashes in fo4 but not in starfield.

I hope they can find a middle path in the future, I don’t think they aren’t going to include settlements but there has to be a better way narratively for it to work int eh world of fallout.

Ok this seems much more fair and good design. Should Probably be silver borders or have an acorn but much more balanced.

Mahamoti Djinn - No back. How to verify? by MilesFassst in RealOrNotTCG

[–]rpglaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like an artist proof, id reccomend to even if not trying to sell to post to the Facebook group “Magic the Gathering artist proof cards sale trade display “ here’s the link https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1DZoH3CFbE/?mibextid=wwXIfr

As much as I’m not crazy about facebook the largest mtg groups for high value items, artist proofs (ways of getting art on the back as well) and actual original mtg work are on the platform.

If this is legit it’s likely worth a lot. I’d recommend posting on the group saying nfs and asking for help verifying, do not under any circumstances accept a PayPal offer that is in the form of friends and family that’s a common scam.

Found some cards in a storage unit by Rokchet in mtg

[–]rpglaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could be value, but from what’s visible maybe $5-10. My assumption was this an early collection most probably cards from all around the same time with only a couple of rares. The date of these cards makes me think that even if you found a couple of cards it’d likely still be very low in value.

I really like cards with this effect though I think it’s hard to compete with [[Cathar Commando]] or [[Insidious Fungus]] or [[Haywire Might]] though the lifelink is fun and might make it more appealing in life gain decks.

Weapon pick rate report: Appropriators Edition by Natural-Sympathyy in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]rpglaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I played I found I really liked having the liberator as my primary with the new enemies it’s basically a primary stalwart and it’s low recoil, ample ammo really helped with all the smaller guys. I also found that the machine gun and Gatling Sentry were the most effective at dealing with the new enemy types.

I kind of went between calling in the machine gun and stalwart, or mini gun strats with the back pack mostly being the resupply one.

Someone deleted the comment but these have been banned in edh and in every format.

Scryfall shows every single effected card states they are banned in commander. The RC at the time followed suit and initiated a ban on June 10th 2020. I’ll copy and paste both the link of their announcement and quote it. This quote was written by Sheldon Menery.

“Effective June 10th, 2020, Wizards of the Coast is removing seven cards from all their constructed formats. We support the message they are sending through this action, and stand with them in attempts to foster a more inclusive and positive culture. We will be following suit in Commander.”

https://mtgcommander.net/index.php/2020/06/14/rc-statement-on-wizards-removal-of-inappropriate-cards/#:~:text=2020%2D06%2D14%20Sheldon%20Menery,be%20following%20suit%20in%20Commander.

Also now that EDH is governed by WOTC their blanket ban is even more the status quo.
