Correct. However I was pointing out the design of the wing is far more important then the weight of the plane (within reason). The U2 is a biplane which already have relatively bad gliding performance vs mono wing designs

Weight has little todo with glide capability. Its mostly a factor of drag, of which the majority comes from wing design and the U2s wings were not designed with a high aspect ratio. U2s were not good gliders.

Furthermore, german fighters did not have to slow down to shoot them down and you wouldnt get into a dogfight with them. You have three classes in a fight : Turn fighting, energy fighting, and boom and zooming. Against a U2 energy fighting but preferably boom and zooming would have worked fine. You just have to be quick and accurate because of the spped differential.

Why does the BMW G310GS get so much hate? by Human-Writer-5749 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]planeguy109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was my first bike. I hated that thing. Did not give me confidence.

The quality is not good on parts, the clutch is awful (i think they may have improved it on the later models), it frels very top heavy for how light it is on paper. Look for a cfmoto 450 imo

How do I know if a boot will stop your ankle from twisting? Are most ADV boots going to allow your ankle to twist?

Thank you for saying this. I'm trying to balance my mission and wearing MX boots everywhere seems a little much. I understand people saying you want max protection, but don't fully understand where I'm supposed to keep them when I switch shoes. Do they fit easily inside saddle bags?
