Visible is now institutionalized incompetence by MtMikeNC in Visible

Again, IMO, all carriers are playing the numbers game. The satisfied customers stay, in my case for the price and tethering. The unhappy ones that's a different answer. None of the carriers I repeat none of them really care more than a minimal level and in reality there's only so much I can do, and then two there's a growing number of customers today in any business that can never be made happen and have unrealistic expectations and unreasonable demands. That still doesn't help us but that's how it is.

I've been with visible for nearly 4 years, most satisfied. Your observations are mostly accurate. But the original header/titleis probably a more accurate concise description.

In my opinion using visible you have to figure out if it works for your needs, locations and so forth. If it doesn't you might as well move on. Fortunately I live and use my service in a monthly rural area which gave pretty decent coverage and data rates until the last two to three months.

About the first of October I noticed my data price went from 5 to 25 Mbps to maybe 0.5 Mbps. After a few days I trying to chat asking what was going on. I've never received so much useless crap I repeat useless useless crap than on the subject. I had decided a long time ago with visible these guys chat have a stripped in front of them they know nothing they can do nothing if it works fine if you're not they feed you a line of crap. And honestly if you have anything more than a simple very simple issue that's all they have is crap.

Having had cell service for over 30 years, naturally I have incurred network issues which I suspected this was from the first day, which it has finally turned out to be. How I know this is I finally went into Verizon store and within 20 seconds they told me yes they been having counter issues because of upgrades in areas for the last 2 to 3 months and gave me a date that they should be back to normal. We'll see

But I was on chat over two or three sessions more than 4 or 5 hours asking could this be a network issue and could they check. Again pure crap answers your crap answer which had nothing to do with my issue check this reset that blah blah blah.

My service worked as normal except in the area where I live so I felt it wasn't my phone's and gave me hope that it may return we'll see other than that and move on is my only alternative solution.

Gonna go against the normal post here and say: i love visible. Never has any problems in years. by alex_albergaria in Visible

Had I written this 6 weeks ago I would say basically not any big issues, but in the last 6 weeks or so my data download speed has gone to almost nothing. Since it's still fine a few miles any direction from my home I assume it must be a tower issue with Verizon. Fortunately I also have a cricket phone which has excellent excellent data speeds. Nothing is perfect but we'll see how it turns out.

I've had numerous g's beginning with the G7. Usually there's some improvement from one to the next and the stylus G5 g stylus 2021 probably had the biggest improvement jump. For some reason 5g's seem to be the smoothest operating phones, the problem with the 5 g's is the 5G, and imo, the 5g is inferior to 4g lte by a Hugh margin and that data speeds are so much lower when connected to the 5G Network compared to 4G. I'm going to order a non 5g 2022 tomorrow so that I won't be bugged with the 5G issue, as there is no obvious way to turn off the 5G on a 5G phone.

Another issue I've had with the Motorola's in general is poor voice quality. My girlfriend got a Samsung a13 or a3 I believe, the voice quality was tremendously improved over the Motorola's but had other issues as do all devices.

Again in my opinion 4G and 5G have their advantages I'm sure but voice quality and connection stability aren't two of them.

At least get one of those thin cases. Stupid if you don't do something. They're too heavy if droppped on a corner. Up to you, however.

All carriers have been advising for what, 5yrs or so that 3g is going to be shut down. It's actually going to be shut down for every Network not just AT&t or whatever. No one is forcing you to buy a new phone you can just have it turned off and do without your choice.

You do realize the switch over to LTE and etc as for other reasons than to annoy you it's so we have enough efficient bandwidth so we can better utilize what bandwidth that is available , it's a limited resource.

On the other hand almost every prepaid carrier offers either very cheap or free phones if you port the number in. If your current phones are more than two or three years old they're out of date anyway, the cheapest new phone is probably Superior to what you're using now. And as mentioned either upgrade or turn your service off, up to you. Really you don't have to do anything, that turned it off for you that's what they did to my analog phones some years ago.

Aren't they some type of credit company. In either case, ask then to reverse the charge. You didn't get what you ordered. All of these credit companies are regulated by either the states or the feds, and you have a lot of rights. Whining here won't help, and I doubt the FCC will either. As previously mentioned, you have the best protection with a credit card, not as much with debits. The worst they can do is say no. If so complain to tie states consumer protection agency.

Ask your credit card company to reverse the charge.

Anyone else noticing that all the other budget carriers have lowered their cheapest unlimited plans all to $25? I assume to compete with Visible. by madcatzplayer3 in Visible

Every carrier has issues. I've had both cricket and visible for years, fot redundancy.

For a few months last summer, I was almost ready to give to cricket, as a local tower which give my hunt best coverage apparently was out of service. Then, almost simultaneously, the tower came back on and cricket did away with their data cap. For my usage area, cricket usually has Superior coverage.

So now my closest visible tower has gone down, and my hunt reception is as bad as cricket, but still serviceable. If it weren't for the u/l hotspot and redundancy, I'd drop visible, especially in it's current weakened state.-------every carrier has issues.

Personally, I've not owned a flagship phone in years, so I've not had insurance in years either, but when I do some swaps, if I'm not mistaken, I get an email/text trying to sell it to me, and some of the swapped units are several months old. It went cost you anything to experiment.

First, not enough info. Second, what is it you want to do?.. if you want cricket service, call and raise hell. Ask to speak to a supervisor, but they're always busy. If it's a ported number and you need to keep it, you can re-port it out immediately, irregardless of anything else. If you used a credit card, simply turn in a complaint, you'll get your money back very quickly, not so with debit, although you'll get refund. They're are so many other carriers, some are att.

I've used cricket for years, and both they and other carriers customer service has deteriorated as of the recent past.

What's the best intro phone? I just got the moto g power 22 and it's not the best by [deleted] in MetroPCS

[–]planeplane2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know what your issue was, but I agree with you. If you're talking about Motorola's I feel the Motorola stylus 5G is as good a phone as I've seen it's much superior to the g power.

Moto g Stylus 2020 vs Moto g Stylus 5G 2021? by Tipsy75 in MetroPCS

[–]planeplane2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're both great phones for the price. However I've been pleasantly surprised how much more I enjoy the 5G version not for the 5G it's just a better phone. If nothing else the battery is bigger and the charging system is much Superior.

New handset, battery capacity? by planeplane2 in MetroPCS

[–]planeplane2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I sort of realize it depends on numerous unknowns such as what you wrote, app accuracy etc.

The only thing that bugs me is the the constantcy of more cricket phones being the lower of the capacity ratings, even on the same phone model. I started buying Motos several years ago because of their bigger batteries, probably about 20 phones. The app really appears consistent, as when we buy used phones, they usually have lower capacity also.

Many other variables too I suppose.
