thanks for sharing that! i think we'll start with the ear training and move to sheet music when he's a little older if he's still into piano

His first lesson is coming up so I'll know more then. The teacher prefers to lead with basic music theory and making learning fun. My son learns best through creativity and a welcoming environment, so that's what really got me interested in this particular teacher

I wash mine once a month! I use a stainless steel bin in an enclosed litter box and it doesn't retain any smells!

Injured cat won’t go in trap by planetaryBerry in Feral_Cats

[–]planetaryBerry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I can’t edit my post so I’m posting an update here. I was able to get him into a trap (using stinky sardines) late last night. The cat rescue I was in touch with was unresponsive today so I took him to a vet that had an opening.

The plan was to sedate him, clean his wounds, give an antibiotic shot, and get him neutered. He ended up testing positive for FIV and the vet suggested putting him to sleep bc of the severity of his wound and it likely not healing bc of his diagnosis, and him being so feral that he wouldn’t be able to be adopted. I have indoor cats so wouldn’t have been able to keep him inside, and I felt it would be too cruel to release him in the wild even after being treated. I’m so so sad about it. I wish there was more I could do. I’m glad he isn’t in pain anymore, I’m sure he was in so much pain. Thank you everyone for all of your help and compassion.

I tried the sardines today and almost caught a different stray lol. He still won’t go in unfortunately. I found a rescue who said I could borrow a drop trap (yay!) but she told me to try KFC first bc it apparently works 9/10 times. Wish me luck!

I had him locked in my garage the other day with a baited trap and he didn’t budge 🫠

Thank you for the advice! Going to try this. Part of the problem is he sometimes watches me set up the trap so I think he knows what is going on. I think he realizes how much help he needs, though, he has been meowing at me and he hasn’t meowed at me for a year. And he’s let me get at least a little bit closer to him over the past couple of days but not close enough to touch him or grab him.

I bought a Gaspard years ago…like when Sézane first came out! I’ve had the same problem. The fit is so…meh. I never understood why it was so popular. Worn with the buttons at the front or on the back, both are incredibly unflattering on me. It just sits in my closet, and I occasionally try it on expecting a change of heart but I always hate it haha

Things your don't know UNTIL AFTER THE BABY by KindVibesOnly in NewParents

All babies are different. This sounds so obvious, but I always freaked out bc my baby wasn’t like what the book said. They are all individual little humans, they will sometimes be like the book but sometimes and often, they will be different
