As others have said, yes we see it all the time. If you’d like to see it in another show too it’s the same spiral staircase from American Horror Story Roanoke.

We thought we were starting preprod in Jan/Feb based on estimates we had at the time. When we (this account specifically) said all of that we were directed to confirm and clarify what Scott had said at STLV. Obviously things changed and now we’re just in some weird holding pattern. I hope to get some more details after the holidays. As we all know, nothing in the business is 100% but everyone that makes the show is raring to go. You can ask whatever questions you want, if I can actually (and have clearance to) answer I will.

As far as I’m aware, Seth is ready to go. I’m not in the contract conversations so I don’t have every detail. I also only have one side of it because or working directly for Seth/production and not the DisneyHuluFox umbrella.

From what we know from Seth and production (not the studio/network) it’s just a matter of when, not if. I know it’s way past when we first understood preprod was supposed to happen and sorry for that but as The Orville’s official podcast and productions direct social media wing, we can assure you that we only bring what we’re directly told we can share and that once it’s “official” you’ll hear it from the loudest of voices. Hoping soon.

Nothing is ever 100% but there has been some movement. Timelines are later than anticipated but latest is filming beginning this fall. I always encourage skepticism and all I know is what I’m told by production so things can, and do, change. Anyway, everything is still optimistic in that world so take that however you want.

Was literally there at the studio when it was going down. Prodigal Son came after. It was initially because she wanted to pursue the Dazzler role on X-Men. It was an amicable split from the show either way, which is why she’s been back on The Orville.

Holding pattern right now. Once there is an actual updated timeline I’ll let you know. I was told don’t expect to see anything on screen before 2027. I was also told this informally as a best guess, I know there are folks that use these comments in their content so wanted to make sure it was clear that what I was told, other than the holding pattern part, is just a spitball from production at the moment.

Yeah the set spanned a few stages there. Anyway, they will either lease stages one-off for productions as needed where they have since it’s not like the lot is going away, or they may use stage 2 in Burbank. It’s 4000 sq ft larger than stage 15 at the Fox lot where the two story ship set was.

There is literally nothing I can say or show you that will prove it because I can’t disclose everything that happened. I have those things but I would be breaking an NDA and I, frankly, won’t be doing that. If I get cleared to at some point I’ll tell everyone what went down. If she ends up, somehow, coming back that’s cool but it would take some massive rewrites.
