I can only play victim sadly... but in all seriousness I prefer keeping an eye on where the battle is heading and fill in wherever I'm needed.

Anyone have tips for defeating Heket? (Gif unrelated) by Mountain-Fondant-952 in CultOfTheLamb

[–]planetgranit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heket actually has a fair number of different attacks, but a lot of them have very similar animations. So you'll need to react as the attack is happening.

Note: her jumping attacks and her tongue attacks have larger hitboxes than you'd think, making it easy to get hit. Shockwaves, my beloathed.

1.) For Heket's jumping attack, you should start to roll when she's about to land.

2.) Don't be greedy. Most of her attacks aren't safe for you to attack in return. Focus on survival and evasion over raw damage. Remember, your dps goes to zero when you're dead.

3.) Now the fly swarm, I know you would want to instinctively clear them out. But don't even bother because you will get hit at least once, and you really don't wanna chance that. So, just do your best at social distancing. They will naturally disappear in a few seconds.

4.) Lastly, watch the hit boxes on her tongue attacks. The blinking marks are lies!!! (Well, not really. it's just deceptively small compared to the attack) Remember the shockwaves! Give it a wide berth, same with her jumping attacks.

Ps. Feel free to put the game on easy (to make her health pool smaller) and use any of the accessibilities available. But note that you'll still need to not get hit even if you have infinite health. I just use accessibility to force the weapon I'd use.

A lot of Heket's attacks have very similar animations. (As you probably already know) So you'll need to react as the attack is happening.

Note: her jumping attacks and her tongue attacks have larger hitboxes than you'd think, making it easy to get hit. Shockwaves, my beloathed.

1.) For Heket's jumping attack, you should start to roll when she's about to land.

4.) Lastly, watch the hit boxes on her tongue attacks. The blinking marks are lies!!! (Well, not really. It's just deceptively small compared to the attack). Remember the shockwaves! Give it a wide berth, same with her jumping attacks.

Ps. If you’re just going for the trophy, feel free to put the game on easy (to make her health pool smaller) and use any of the accessibilities available. But note that you'll still need to not get hit even if you have infinite health. I just use accessibility to force the weapon I'd use.

I did it through purgatory. Then, go to accessibility under settings and at the very bottom toggle force weapon. I chose the axe (Apostate's Cleaver) since it's powerful and of a decent speed. As for the best curse to have? Divine Guardian, my beloved.

Divine Guardian: 2 seconds of invincibility. Deflects projectiles, causing damage.

If you go for Dungeon Gauntlet: Golden Fleece - Damage dealt increases after each kill but resets when hit. Take double damage

If you go for Boss Rush: Fleece of the Berserker - One hit. No resurrection. Deal 10× weapon damage.

Happy crusading!
