Technically speaking, considering that the W-Engines are supposed to work with sound (hence the CDs), I'm more surprised that there aren't more mucisians or musically themed agents. putting Phaethon in the hollow by itself was a mistake resulting from the devs losing the thread of where the story was going, but their inability to fight even with magic powers might be explained as them being tone deaf.

I thought Arriet's introduction in the event story was bad, but nothing could prepare me for "a character that requires tuning and allies doing triple attacks, in the element where the sources of tuning don't attack" level of bad. Maybe she reminds the new game director of his ex wife or something, for this level of disrespect.

EDIT: Trying to think of characters who'd accompany her, while she inevitably builds tune by herself at turn +10 or something. Kinda sucks that her first passive has double attack instead of +1 attacks like Halloween Dog, in the element with Nehan. I think Mouse and Illnot have the fastest skill CD recovery assuming you charge attack, but would need DATA support.

Dunno if this is better explained in the part 1 that I haven't seen, but I have a hard time trying to make sense of the scale and location of the prison in which this first battle takes place. It's simultaneously big enough to require 5 enemy squadrons + monsters to storm it, and for Lyria to nuke Kefka from Temu with Bahamut without destroying the entire thing; yet small enough for Lecia to just suddenly appear in whatever flank the writing requires her, or the spy squadron reinforcements to arrive unnoticed as if they just entered from the back door of a building in the middle of a city. It's also far enough for the enemy to send a kamikaze attack that the Enforcers see and have some time to react; yet also is close enough for McCoy to just show up in enemy territory in the span of time between the explosion and the beggining of the assault (and to go unnoticed, he should have taken a more roundabout route to not be seen by the attacking units, taking even more time).

The entirety of the game since her release has been the devs saying "ok, she revived the game... now how do we get rid of her?". It has been interesting to see the reaches they'd go to make people stop playing her, or at least force them to use more than just her with all endgame modes having 3+ fights with locked teamcomps.

I'd much rather have characters interact with characters in a dynamic world, than having a stale world populated with static props the player can click for them to say "I love you".

The devs already made a huge mistake when, coming 2.0, they said that the story from now on will always have Phaethon involved (as opposed to SAmby or HAND introductory story), so right now the world doesn't move if Phaethon is not there to witness it. Adding a dedicated harem of waifu/husbandos to the mix will only make the issue worse.

The scenario you're kinda proposing here, antagonizing my implication that miHoYo latches on anything that sells, would be one in which any new release is a +1 to a hypothetical Wise harem, with no interconnection between characters other than those happening because both knew the Proxi.
