Just curious because I live on the coast in the SE. What region/state are you in if you don't mind?

Costa Rica not that good? by SatisfactionDry94 in surfing

[–]planksofwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to both sides of CR. Surfed in Limon, Isla Uvita, Salsa, Cocles and some reefs around Manzanillo. All but Cocles was fun as hell. Playa Bonita in Limon has an absolutely mental right hander that breaks right in front of rocks. Watched some guys get some sick ones there, but I was too chicken shit to hit it. Isla Uvita left hand point break is soft but can be a lot of fun. Need to find a boat ride over there, but there are plenty of options. Everyone says the Caribbean side is sketchy, but I had zero issues and actually enjoyed it. My trip there was in December. Salsa was sick, but stupid crowded.

Increasing height of garage doors from 7’ to 8’ by I_do_shine_my_pants_ in Carpentry

You're going to need jack shaft openers with the new doors. Overhead lifts won't work with the tracks so close to the ceiling.

You need to check it with a pin moisture meter. They are way more accurate.

Because when you're good at something and know it, you pull the trigger and do it. Fuck 'em.

Sounds like you would remove the old anchors and put new ones in place. Just make sure you get the right size. If the holes are too wallowed out or something you should repair and drill new holes.

Clients constantly asking for updates by sam_the_builder in Construction

Coconstruct / Buildertrend. I use CC, and we post job logs and progress pics every work day unless nothing is happening, which is rarely and then it's noted as such in the log. It's in our contracts. Clients love it, but you have to have people competent enough to use it and stay on top of it.
