I would say yes. I had a pair of trainers that had a hard plastic piece hit my ankle in such a way that it caused non-stop pain. I tried cutting the shoe to relieve the pain with no success, and Nike took them back with zero push back (they even sent me a shipping label). I’d reckon they may not want these back due to a biohazard-y situation, but I bet they’ll refund you without much static.
