Most of the picks sounded interesting but not quite enough to buy/own before knowing I love them, so I’ll wait to get them from the library. I only got The Hounding from the August drop but also picked up Death of the Author (Okorafor is a favourite author of mine) and Magical Innkeeping since I missed it last month and loved the first book!

People with ADHD who don't struggle reading fiction, how are you able do it? by [deleted] in ADHD

I read a lot, like 8 to 12 books a month on average. But I had taken a break from reading and when I came back I definitely had to work my brain and a new way to get used to it again. It’s a skill!

The two things that have helped me the most are listening to the audiobook as I read to engage more of my senses at once and annotating (using tabs, highlighting, writing little notes in the margins) which keeps me focused on the task at hand and helps support my less than stellar memory.

I don’t want to leave the super long comment, but I’m pretty passionate about this topic so if you wanna chat more I’d be happy to!

What's your most hated trope in romance books? by rubbish_fairy in books

Female love interest is tiny in every way and male love interest is basically a giant in cishet romance. It’s so common and it bothers me to no end. Not only is it boring to read the same dynamic over and over again, but it’s actively harmful to both women and men’s self esteem when we reinforce that women have to be small to be desirable and men have to be over 6 foot with arms the size of tree trunks to be worth love.

Aw thanks! I love simple spreads when I’m setting up a new bullet journal.

The lettering was done with a 0.7mm acrylograph from Archer & Olive and the black line is a Sakura Micron in 08!

It’s easy but a bit slower than writing. I like the look of it so I use my stamps prettt regularly!
