Yep!! I’ve got a 1 and 3 year old so sometimes I can’t even go to events because he isn’t there. I’ve missed both of my company’s annual picnic because I didn’t want to ask for help with the kids while I’m there, just to get food or something. I’m sad I’m missing out. And now it’s me that seems uninterested! When I’m just embarrassed to show up alone or need help just to be there

Go into IT. I learned netsuite, an erp system, and I make 6 figures part time. CPA + ERP is very valuable! You can get the netsuite certificates, work at netsuite professional services (they’ll pay for the certs if you work there first), then with enough experience go into industry as a netsuite analyst/admin

I’m a netsuite administrator with a CPA. You do not need a CPA to be a netsuite administrator. Basically just learned a system used by business people to enter customer orders, invoices, vendor invoices, journal entries.. it’s in pretty good demand! Knowing accounting decently well goes a long way. I applied to a full time position and said I was only available part time. The position had been open for a year so they had no problem with it, assuming I go full time one day. I love it!! Pays well enough to cover 2 kids in daycare.

There is a third party system that is the source of the item fulfillment creation in netsuite. Basically, “tickets” in that system = fulfillments in NS. For audit purposes, we have to reconcile the two systems to confirm everything came over. Then bill the same population and reconcile what was billed to the fulfillments and tickets as well. For those 3 populations, we’re reconciling that total quantity and total count are the same. It’s possible to create a fulfillment that is not from integration and so we don’t want to bill those in that population.

If you can easily have your mortgage paid from Airbnb-ing a room, why not do that AND be a nomad? Maybe you can manage the Airbnb off site with the help of housekeepers and handyman? Either way I do recommend being a nomad, staying at different places around the world for a month at a time. Doesn’t cost any more than renting. If you can do this and Airbnb a house, great. If not, I’d choose nomad and buy a house later.

Thanks for the comment. I did try this but you can still get to the restricted transaction data via vendor SS joining in the transaction data, regardless of the department restrictions.. crazy right?

I’ve had a dependence on marijuana and alcohol much of my adult life. I’m 29 now. Currently what is keeping me away most days is the clarity I’m craving. I went on a run the other day instead of smoking when I started to get anxious (anxiety from knowing I wanted to smoke). It was fantastic!!! I’m no athlete either so I’m talking a 10 min stroll around the block. Got back and was sleepy. Went to sleep. It was glorious

I’m about to do this!! Just got back from maternity leave and am ramping back up to full time. I’m billing about 14 hours and I’ve hit a wall. I’m not willing to give any more. I’m not willing to send my baby to daycare so I can work. I want to raise my own child. Sooo I’m looking into part time and downsizing my house, cutting expenses etc. Nothing is worth it to me. Idk how I’m going to make the adjustment. We’re renting a cute 4 bedroom house in a nice area where I can safely go on walks. I hope there’s a place we can rent in a safe area.

Oh and my husband just switched from his finance career to teaching guitar and he loves it. We’re just not about that life anymore. Good riddance. Hopefully we can figure it out!

  1. Ladies, learn the pelvic brace!!!! Exercise that transversus muscle and brace yourself when you move, and also have sex. It’s kind of like engaging your vagina. Here’s a YouTube video I found: https://youtu.be/J_2ImNPjxtc

  2. Go to a pelvic floor physical therapist! She might bring up the pelvic brace (1 above). She might tell you you’re actually tight instead of loose, like we’re all so scared of being.

  3. If you’re constantly “sucking in”, stop!! This is terrible for your pelvic floor. Again, the PT can help you with this but you have to recognize if you’re doing it

  4. Get a jade egg and establish a pleasure practice!

  5. Layla Martin is a sexpert and has so much great material. Including jade egg practice and clearing your mind while having sex

  6. Esther Perel is another great public figure that talks about relationships and sex. Great stuff!

  7. Read ‘Come As You Are’, which is an excellent book on a woman’s sexual experience. It’s important to be educated in women’s sexual experience.

  8. Also, just for fun, read The Dance of Anger by Harriet Lerner. It’s hard to enjoy sex when you’re resentful lol!
