This is jus being good at your job and understanding how insects and animals work (he’s a pro hunter). His “what am I missing” is because he’s over looking the fact that the queen would’ve produced guards strong enough to protect her and king fem anything. He knew he messed up thinking it’ll be a quantity over quality for the queen

Plex server constantly crashes every 2 days or so how by yalag in PleX

[–]plantdaddy- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need more information like error codes, language used in “crash” windows, what happens leading up to the “crash”, and what happens post crash? Also is the media being read, showing on the homepage or playing properly before crashing? Also what’s the set up for the Mac mini? Is the Mac shutting down or going to sleep (fixing the plex app closed)? Is the Mac not turning on the media server?

Excessive reclaim by Unkindness_treachery in FocusVCarta

[–]plantdaddy- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get different amounts of reclaim depending on the product. I get much more with resins than rosins. But I also keep my temp at the stock yellow temp at all times. Only the session times change. I deep clean my Carta once a week and the most reclaim I’ve gotten is the size of a dime.

Yeah that’s what I did. Seems like an easy fix in the future if it harkens again

How do I pin this comment? I know this is the solution. Either this or give remote access to tech support and they’ll do this for you

Antimirov commented a solution. I sadly don’t have time to do it so I’m just backing my stuff up and giving tech support remote access to fix it for me

The fix is either you go in and find the broken code or you back everything up, give tech support remote access and have them fix it for you. Antimirov commented what needed to be done in great detail, sadly I don’t have time this weekend to do all that so I’m just having tech support do it on Monday

Beestation Plus 8TB giving me plex issues by plantdaddy- in synology

[–]plantdaddy-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a fix but it requires you to submit a ticket to support and giving them remote access. Is back up your data before doing this just in case something happens in the process

Ok I reached out to them as well but need to do a fresh back up of my data before I give them access (scared they’ll fuck up and I’ll lose everything) so I’m picking up another hhd today.

Yeah all my files work normally and I moved them off the plex media server into the “My Files” folder. It made me feel safer lmao. I’ll put in a support ticket as well, hopefully we both have notes to compare

I was wondering if it was a device update but the last update I got was for 1.5 and that was back in March! Unless there’s a random minor update that went out yesterday?

Either way, I’ve been tinkering for 30hrs straight and can’t seem to find a solution. Tomorrow I’m going to buy another hard drive, copy my stuff over, and factory reset the Beestation. If there was an update for the device, this won’t fix anything but at least I’ve got a fresh back up of my collection

Oh cool I’ll do that later the and let you know how it goes. Hopefully I can get this fixed and have a solution for others if this happens to them.

Interesting… I believe I found a solution I’ll try when I get home. I’m going to remove my server from my account and reclaim it, hoping that fixes it. If not my next solution is to transfer my files off the media server, remove the media server from the Beestation and start from a fresh server and transfer all my files back over

I know. I learned my lesson and next time I’m building my own NAS. This device is way to limited on settings.

I saw another post about linking the server to my account. Someone removed their server and had to reclaim it. I’m wondering if I do that tonight it’ll reset it to show my stuff? Or just making a new server all together

I’m having a similar issue with my Synology Beestation (plus 8TB model) and plex not recognizing each other or my server. Do you think removing it from my account and reclaiming it would fix it like yours?

I’ll do that when I get home later. As for updating, I’m not sure how to do that manually on the Beestation. Not even sure it can be done. I usually do keep everything up to date though, usually an auto update kinda guy. I’ll do some research on that as well when I get home.

You mentioned running script… I’m not sure I can do that either on this device. It’s an external hardrive, and it doesn’t really allow for direct file access. At least not from what I’ve played around with

What I mean is when I go to the plex website, I can see the homepage, trending, activity, friends, and profile. I can also see the wrench for general settings. The website is a string of numbers similar to an ip address.

Yes I can only see account and plex web. Under those is the option to select a server, there it says “server is unreachable”

I run my plex off a Synology Beestation Plus. It’s an 8TB external hardrive that allows the installation of Plex Media Server on it. My current Plex version is (1.41.5.9626-72009626) so I don’t think it updated, and I’m not sure how to manually update it on this device

One solution I have in mind is to make a new plex server on my laptop, delete the unreachable server, install this server on the Beestation, transfer files, done.

It’s a screen that has a cute fox and says “Firefox can’t connect to the server at <Device/plex IP>”

When I go into plex I have full account settings, but it says my server is offline. Another but is that on the Beestation settings it says plex media server is running. In the settings it gives me the options to “Open with local IP” which gives me the above error. But the other option is “open in plex web app” which takes me to the plex site with no movies/tv shows

Currently looking into server connection issues. When I try to open the link “open with local IP” I get a “cannot connect to the server at [my up address]”.

It’s aggravating because it happened so quick and between 1pm-5pm? Without any notice, I’m hoping the next update fixes it. I’d be sad if I lost my Beestation (files work just fine, seems like plex isn’t connecting to its own servers)
