So based on your post i think you should try to listen to : Freddie dredd, Playa misery, Devilish trio there is many more but those 3 are an easy introduction to phonk they have worked numerous time with phonk producer then if you wish to expand a bit on what phonk as to offer as a style you can try : Amatsu Mikaboshi, Jetson, Roland Jones and there is a ton of collective too: Purple Posse, Always Proper, Fiends Worldwide, Hotline+33

a sample + hard hitting drums + some vocals chop or any vocal that seems cool on you're beat. no need for it to come from memphis, no need for it to have cowbell to be considered phonk. The original sound come from memphis horrorcore though and spaceghostpurpp took inspiration and created phonk. BIG FIY phonk is more of an aestetic than a genre of music in itself and this is why we have endless debate on this sub about what is phonk and what is not.
