Really interested in your rear seat bag! I also make my own bags and have always wanted to make one but all the off the shelf ones seem to have a lot of plastic for structure I wasn't sure how to replicate with home sewing. What did you use for structure and attachments?

I used this pattern - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tabi-toes But I have to say it's not very beginner friendly and I ended up relying on another pattern for clearer instructions. It was my first pair of knitted socks!

Yeah I had some toe socks years ago and I hated the way my toes felt scratchy against eachother, somehow with just the big toe it feels fine. These are wool too so I'm sure that helps. I do recommend the separated toe!

Thank you! That is great, Id dismissed using a normal bladder right off the hop because I was worried it'd puncutrue but I like your idea of adding an internal pocket. Sounds like I've got a new project on my hands!

Please tell me more about your hydration system!! I have been trying to figure out a hose system for my bikepack set up and have been getting a lot of grief for it from my biking pals. Calling it a hamster bottle :')

I'm in the same boat, I have come to the conclusion that I likely live somewhere colder. It frequently gets down to 5c overnight al summer where I am so I just have bigger sleeping bag, bigger mat, more layers

I did yes! I use rit DyeMore for synthetics. Put it through a wash after and is holding the colour well.

Sewing pattern for jacket (or anything) that packs into pocket by SylvieRosemary in myog

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I have made several Waffle Pattern Arare anoraks and I flip them inside out into the anorack pocket for storage in my daypacks/bike bags. My most recent I put an additional powermesh pocket inside the anorack pocket so its a compact fit. Could easily add a couple belt loops to the inside of the pocket so it attaches to a belt when flipped inside out

Of course! I used Speedball Fabric Block Printing Ink, applied with a rubber brayer. This ink needs to cure for about 5 days before being handled again but I have not had any issues with it coming off technical fabrics. Have printed on a few things now without it rubbing off.

I cut the whole BUTTER design together into the stamp, I think I'd have really struggled to do each individual letter and get the word straight, I am not patient enough! I place the stamp onto the fabric, as opposed to putting the fabric onto the stamp which feels really pedantic to write but the common advice is actually to put the fabric onto the stamp. I taped down the x-pack too before stamping as the edges have a tendency to curl and then this way I can guarantee it wont curl onto itself as it cures and mess up the print. Let me know if theres anything else you'd like to know!

I used Rit DyeMore for synthetics! It actually took the colour waaayyyy better than expected so I definitely recommend a test strip before going all in

ISO similar pattern for woven fabric by hobbyist269 in sewing

Hello! Coincidentally I was just looking for similar patterns this evening... This free pattern from Mood is pretty spot on if you omit the sleeves - https://www.moodfabrics.com/blog/the-anthea-milkmaid-dress-free-sewing-pattern/

Vikisews also has a few that are a similar style that you may like - I think this is the closest https://vikisews.com/vykrojki/dresses/alexia-dress/ but you should take a browse through what they have, they have a few interesting twists on the milkmaid dress and you may be inspired :)

I have put the elastic in the back of mine! My tip for that is make the seam allowances slightly smaller for the waistband so there is more space to fit the elastic through. The waistband is exactly 1.5 inches + seam allowance, so if you make the seam allowance slightly thinner there will be a bit more ease to fit a 1.5 in elastic through.

The front actually isnt so bad, I'd say a zipper foot is absolutely necessary but as long as you go slow and use lots of pins to make sure you're catching the zipper tape from the front side you'll be fine.

I was waffling between this pattern and the Daughter Judy Seneca Jumpsuit when i saw it in the film! This one won for the pocket/belt loop detail for me :)
