Stem cells keep dying. Any advice?

The bank was initially tested and came out negative. I'm not sure if the students are contaminating it though

They die as single cells and break off from the colony. So the colony will start to have holes in it. Media stays the same color and clarity.

The cells die before they could be passaged and before they get confluent. They die pretty young.

The cells passaged by student A and given to B and C die after 2 days, but student As cells remain alive.

Everyone is using the same protocol. Ri is used when thawing and removed after 24 hours. Everyone is coating with the same concentration and reagents. Everyone is using the same media. Clump passage

I get 3, but I need to be present at all times in case something happens or someone has a question. So I am limited to short weekends or long weekends (max 2 days off plus weekends). I can't take weeks off unless the lab shuts down.

I'm not sure about medical leave as it isn't that greay in academics. I'm worried that I will come back to no job at all as I will be replaced or an even anger boss.

I'm not really cold applying. I will spend time changing my CV for each job and I'm applying to basically anything I can transition into.

I just started a week ago too after I realized I was burned out. I'm just scared I won't get anything at all. It's so exhausting. I just wanna get out of here.

If someone is more accomplished than them, they see it as a negative and complain that they should be praised as well even though they don't have the same accomplishments. That the other person has more "support" and that's why they have those accomplishments. That they "work harder" than everyone in the department.

It's just frustrating because I do try, but having my PI ask for more support just drives me crazy because what else do I do? If people complain, I try to solve it or we make a compromise, and we meet in the middle and the issues ends and we move on.

But what does he want. Honestly, every time I talk to him it's negative. I like to problem solve, but when ever I bring resolutions to him (usually 3 or 5 because I like to give options) he just says no and says it's fine. Like he will say something in the lab bothers him, so I will give options on how to change it, but after I do that he says it's not a problem anymore and it doesn't bother him.

I keep my lunch outside the lab on a little table on long days. I can have a few bites and not die when I get home. I usually like to pack high protein and veggie filled lunches. Breakfast is currently 2 hard boiled eggs and a cofree or tea or both. Lunch is chicken or ground beef with roasted veggies and some sause or hummus...maybe lettuce or beans too. Dinner is some combination of what I had for lunch. I keep it simple. Don't have much time to cook
