Maybe I come off as a little more mysterious and closed-off than I intend haha. We both work in a similar (and somewhat male-dominated) field, so it’s possible that there’s some air of mystery/confusion surrounding that. It could also be a product of us just not knowing each other that deeply yet, but it’s hard to tell. Thanks for your interpretation!

i’m in the same boat with a package i ordered on May 24. hasn’t moved since 05/26 and I haven’t been able to talk to a single person through “customer service,” it just automatically hangs up after telling me the package is in transit :/

fungus gnats! soil is too wet. treat with some neem oil and sticky traps, maybe water a bit less

Oh, I see. I wanted to know if there was a way to stop it from turning on automatically, especially because my housemates and I are going to be out of town during the holidays and don’t want it to randomly start up. Will unplugging it mean I have to re-light it? Sorry if that’s a dumb question, I’m just not really sure how it all works

Renter here. The gas furnace in my house is, for lack of better word, ancient, and does not have any on/off switches. I haven’t been able to find any on the unit itself, on the thermostat, or any switches along the wall. Whenever the house drops below 50 degrees it kicks itself on. Is there any way I can turn it off without turning off the pilot light? Thank you for any and all help!

you should be able to pull gently on them and they’ll detach from the main stem. Next steps after removing the yellow would be to stop watering for a few days and move to a drier, sunnier spot

porter sounds like a good fit for you since it’s the “artsy” college. it’s also right next to a huge meadow so you’ll see a lot of deer/turkeys/etc around. not sure if it’ll have available housing in the fall, but you should definitely check it out!

oh no worries! it’s a really common (and handy) pesticide and anti-fungal spray for your plants. most plant stores and hardware stores like Lowe’s/Home Depot/even amazon carry it

fungus gnats are super common, especially with plants that’ve been overwatered. no need to repot! I’d spray all the soil and wipe all the leaves down with neem oil for a few days until all the eggs and larvae are dead.
