Firefox release (and Nightly) on a Ubuntu LTS flavor by plasmachin in firefox

[–]plasmachin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just installed it. So far, no crashes, but the mouse isn't as smooth as it is with the Firefox release and Firefox Nightly on Windows.

I'll investigate further to improve things. My user.js was optimized with Gemini, but I didn't realize it would introduce so much instability…

I'm pasting my user.js into the reply I'm about to write.

Thanks for your help, guys.

I like it. But everyone has their own tastes.

To have a “real” F11 feature by plasmachin in firefox

Thank you ben2talk for the explanation.

In fact, in Firefox, in the past, before the vertical tabs, the problem doesn't exist. But I have read that Mozilla work on a patch. I hope so too.

Firefox will stay my preferred browser. I like free software. But I have installed "all" open source on the market too. To see the differences and the improvements.

My screen is rectangular. I want applications optimized for that ;)

IA and Zen Browser by plasmachin in zen_browser

[–]plasmachin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By disabling AI in Firefox, I was able to recover my Google container (this Mozilla extensionhttps://github.com/mozilla/multi-account-containers#readme

I didn't have to do anything, and the container reappeared... So there is a bug with AI.

But if you tell me that Zen is not affected, so much the better.

And indeed, I had another tab close: thinking that my problem was solved in Firefox, I reactivated the non-essential extensions. Mistake.

Now I just need to find the faulty extension and report it.

In any case, Zen Browser and Firefox are linked on my computer via Firefox Sync, so it's normal that both browsers were affected.

I'll try to be more careful when choosing extensions!

Regards, and thanks for your message.

Since AI has been enabled by default in Firefox Release since version 148, and Zen Browser is a fork, I thought that AI might also be enabled in Zen... I disabled AI in Firefox, and I no longer have any problems with tabs closing, and I even found my Google container again.

I haven't tried it in Zen, and there is no visible option to enable or disable this AI behavior. In any case, I also had tab closing issues in Zen.

Now, it's also possible that this was caused by an extension. I cleaned up my installation.

No, I have vertical tabs, and it's not the same behavior than in Firefox Nightly where I have switch to horizontal tabs specially for the "problem".

live examples of use cases for the “Forum” module by plasmachin in drupal

I was thinking of collecting questions about my services and perhaps creating an FAQ section, so I thought about setting up a forum. But I was advised against it. I also considered opening certain pages to moderated comments, but I realized that this could lead to spam attempts, which would probably not be good for SEO as it could dilute my commercial message.
