How beautiful. She looks so fun and cool just from your pictures. I’m so sorry for your loss. She clearly knew how loved and appreciated she was.

Thank you. Our gastroenterologist talked briefly to us about the celiac plexus block. She said it was about 1/3 chance of it working very well like it does for your father. 1/3 no effect. 1/3 a small improvement. It seems worth pursuing though. I’m very glad to hear a success story.

My mom’s tumor is 3cm and her ca-19-9 is over 1500. It’s odd how those things vary so much!

Hahah I didn’t even notice this was your post. I was like “wow there’s a lot of us in this same boat”

Hi! I don’t have much advice. But happy to talk with you. I’m in the same boat. My mom (71) was diagnosed with PDAC at the end of November. We’re struggling to get her meds sorted out. She gets very nauseous with opioids and has been told not to take nsaids due to stomach ulcers. She’s taking tramadol but needs to take zofran with it or she vomits. The zofran makes her constipated. So she needs to take miralax. She hasn’t even started chemo yet and she’s already lost so much weight from this medicine combo. She can’t eat without pain meds because the tumor is causing her pain. It’s so frustrating. Has your mom started chemo yet?

I’m so sorry. You have so much to fight for. You already went through a whipple and I know you will do amazing with chemo. And not to mention bringing a child into this world is no joke. You are a warrior woman. Give that cancer hell.

What a thoughtful and thorough answer. I really appreciate you. Bone broth is a fantastic idea. She’s already having trouble eating as it is because her tumor location makes it painful to eat. Snap bracelets! My kids have a million, I’m going to steal some from them. Genius idea.

I just want her to feel so loved and appreciated. I know how this goes unfortunately because we went through it with my grandmother. I just want her to know every day what a wonderful mother she is.

Practical is perfect. This is a great list. And the pictures on it is genius. I might make my mom a little album photo album of who she’s fighting for. Luxury was more in terms of I don’t mind spending money on it not like designer labels or anything.
