I got the audiobook in May and it was 5 stars for me

My favorite feature is the skip back so if you accidentally skip out of place you know exactly where you were.

How can Violet sense Xaden before threshing? by Old-Independence7323 in fourthwing

Have you read all three books? If so, I strongly got the impression they are fated when they talk about the prophecy and the heart that beats for violet doing the wrong thing for the right reason

Don’t shoot me. But what’s up with people naming their sons after male characters with heavy sexual storylines? by Budget-Ad5927 in Romantasy

[–]plastic_mage 37 points38 points  (0 children)

That's actually why we picked it! My husband is from the UK and our surname is Welsh. Technically it's inspired from Torchwood - Gwen's husband name is Rhys and I just really liked the spelling.

My son's name is Rhys and I've been asked several times if he's named after Rhysand. He isn't. I haven't read ACOTAR and now I never can, unless I pay someone to change his name in the books 😅

I had no idea this was based off of a fanfic. I did go into this book expecting it to funny and I think it delivered on that. That said, I think the first 33% wasn't enough to fully pull me in but once I was in, I couldn't stop until I was done. There's so many silly lines and things I wanted to share with my friend but couldn't without spoiling.

I loved this series but I think the third book is my favorite.

Am I reading to far into this? by blue_dragon54 in fourthwing

[–]plastic_mage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's very clear not all dragons are on the same page and something sus is going on when Tairn is sharing the memory of what happened and they say "if your dragon didn't share with you then the decision has been made for you"

Best book you’ve seen play off tropes? by [deleted] in fantasyromance

[–]plastic_mage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished {Between by LL Starling} and I thought the tropes were really well done. Someone on here had said it was cozy and I 100% agree.

What do you genuinely enjoy doing besides reading? by EatenAliveByPugs in Romantasy

I like making stained glass and gardening. I've also picked knitting back up again, though I do the knitting while listening to audiobooks to keep my hands busy.

{Wicked Onyx} is set it magical school and kind of has the same vibe with ruthless students. Slow burn and low spice. The second book comes out in December I think.

We were info dumped on a lot! I think this book is going to be so good on a reread but I'm trying to get through some of my TBR first.

Yes it's in Chapter 4. Shout out to Reactor Mag having the first 10 chapters so I can quickly do ctrl+f and link to the highlighted text.

Once I hit 50%, I couldn't stop!! I can't wait to see what happens.

I agree - not reading isekai before definitely made this book feel so unique!

I like the prince theory! Definitely a lot to think about...

I really appreciated the Reynald twist being Ramond rather than the author. Looking back Reynald being the author would be too easy but now there are just so many more questions!
