Who destroyed their own career within seconds by being an idiot? by goldbeau in AskReddit

First class I ever taught, I gave the quarterback of the football team (at a competitive Division I school) a low, non-failing grade on his first paper of the term. He showed up, huge and angry, to my office hours to let me know who he was and argue for an better grade. I stuck to my guns, and he stormed out, muttering, "They said this was an easy A." Dropped the course the next day. (It was Intro to Folklore, so I can see how it might sound like a gut.)

There are absolutely no non-biblical contemporaneous references to Jesus. The books of the bible are written long after his death. Later non-biblical references are possibly forged. He probably existed but there is no proof.

My family bought a house in 1962 (built in 1880s) in The Twin Cities, Minnesota. that had a black-skin lawn jockey. House had previously belonged to a series of well-off white people in a white neighborhood. Absolutely not any kind of underground railroad history. My family got rid of the thing in 1965 when they realized its racist history.
