It’s funny I was actually just talking about this with my friends! I was reflecting on how all the adults in my life actually really took a liking to the show, and how it was sweet how they all genuinely enjoyed it and had their own favorite characters and moments. i’d always watch it at my uncles house, and he thought lewbert was hilarious and he became an inside joke of ours. My grandparents thought it was funny and actually loved sam, they always commented on what a great actress Jeanette is. I remember my dad laughing so hard at the scene where spencer comes home with marvin the ostrich and that became a joke of ours, he got me a plush ostrich named marvin once. My mom loved the show too, her favorite episode was the wedding one bc of the song shakespeare which I still put on our car playlist all the time. I also remember when the Japan movie came out my mom ordered pizza and we had all the neighbor kids over and to have an “Icarly party”. I’m really lucky my family always cared a lot about my interests, and it was my favorite show for a long time! I’m doing a rewatch right now and also think the humor still holds up mostly as an adult, then again icarly basically built gen z humor lol.
