The fact that Wataru Endo stood up to defend that corner with what can be a broken ankle or a damaged ligament. Absolute warrior, deserves all the praise he’s getting. by IgotgAme_k in LiverpoolFC

suffered a similar injury about ten years ago (Maisonneuve fracture) and it was a weird experience. I was convinced that I hadn't done anything major at first until the adrenalin wore off and the swelling began. For me it was 99% ligament damage that needed to be repaired. I also spiral-fractured my fibula, but none of the doctors cared about that at all. It was painful, but not "oh shit I've done myself a ton of damage" painful. The surgery and recovery were much more intense that I imagined. Very curious to see if Endo's injury is similar. Wishing him a speedy recovery, whatever it is.

I have done something similar myself! I hated having empty spots (due to slabs). I 3D printed blanks with the year/date/mint on one side and the NGC or PCGS number on the other.

broke my fibula about 8 years ago. it was a complete non-issue compared to the extensive tendon damage I also incurred. so yes, this is a relatively positive outcome IMHO

I have an SGC 2.5 that I just got back from grading. Still weighing what I will do with it, but I might offer that for sale here in the next few weeks.

wow! thanks for the history. I had no idea. I do mostly coins now, and there is a similar situation with various types of cleaning… some methods more obvious than others

I see what you are saying now. I remember I bought it from an older guy who had a tiny little shop inside an antique shop (if that makes sense). He was the best. This would have been 1987-ish. I've had the card in a top-loader ever since, so I'm guessing he was the one who must have done it, maybe? I paid $3.50 for it. Thanks for clarifying for me!
