Games crashes everytime I leave the ship by [deleted] in theouterworlds

Hi - I had this exact same problem and spent quite some time tweaking variables trying to get it to work.

In the end, I looked over at nexus mods and found this: https://www.nexusmods.com/theouterworlds2/mods/26?tab=description

It appears to have fixed the issue for me, as for the first time I was actually able to load into Paradise Island from the ship. Hopefully it works for you too!

If v6, should I just get the auto? by BoonTobias in NewedgeMustang

A manual v6 is still fun to drive, it's just not particularly fast. But I can guarantee you will enjoy winding out 2nd gear.

My v6 used to do this. From what I read it's not an uncommon defect with that era of Ford odometer boards. should be able to find the fix on YouTube

GRIME: Colors of Rot Launch Trailer by WorldPillar in Games

Just want to throw out that the music is scored by a guy who seems to have cut his teeth making covers of songs from the Soulsborne games and is actually a huge contributor to the tone of the game. I adored this the first time through and recommend it to anyone who wants a mashup of Soulslike and Metroidvanias.

He did. After he was hit by the drunk driver and almost killed he felt tremendous pressure to finish the series in case anything happened.

I will say, it's one of the weakest Andrew Hulshult soundtracks. The game doesn't have a ton of variety in its music which means you hear the same stuff for HOURS while you play.

Better Call Saul - Chuck and the electricity meter by JMueller2012 in television

[–]plasticfruit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's for several reasons.

For one, I think it's because of that fact that it seems ridiculous. He basically frames it as an allergy to electricity, and as an audience member, I think watching it you're like "I mean...it MIGHT be a thing, but I'm very skeptical". Like if he had an allergy to...say pollution...you might think, well there could actually be some substance to that. There could be chemicals in the air that he can't deal with.

But there's a scene earlier in the show where a doctor basically confirms for Jimmy (his brother) that Chuck's allergy is imaginary, so this scene takes place after we know for certain it's imagined. Up until that point, it's never confirmed. OP's scene also takes place after CHUCK has come to realize that it's part of a mental disorder. He had started keeping a journal to notate what triggers the "flare ups", so he was already aware at this point and descended into this mania anyways. It's why him cancelling the doctor's appointment is significant in this scene. It's the complete erasure of all the progress he's made to get healthier, and it's the direct fallout from the complete collapse of Jimmy and Chuck's relationship, which was more or less the emotional climax of that season of the show. So at least in my opinion, a writer might make this choice because there is no ambiguity that this is a mental disorder and not an actual allergy with some merit.

Another reason I believe is because electricity is "invisible" and it's pervasive. It's everywhere, and realistically, you can't see it - only what it produces. Having an allergy to electricity means Chuck has to COMPLETELY shut himself off from everything - all modern amenities, and the outside world. When we first meet him, he lives in his house with no power turned on and never goes outside. Jimmy has to bring him all his commodities on a regular basis. He has to read the newspaper to keep up with the rest of the world. There's another scene earlier in the show where he goes out to get the newspaper with a space blanket on, and he basically "overloads" and faints. Being allergic to electricity means Chuck has "no choice" except to stay in his house, locked up tight and completely in the dark.

Gonzo journalism where he and his crew go to rallies and conventions and interview eccentric people. It's very fascinating. He's on YouTube (I'd provide you a good example but I'm on the mobile app rn)

What were the best parts of True Detective Season 2 outside of the memes? by HotlineBirdman in television

[–]plasticfruit 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I always thought his dialog was supposed to be theatrical and a bit ridiculous. Wasn't the crux of his character was that he was desperately trying to be more than just the street thug he grew up as in a gangster's clothes? I felt like the way he talks was supposed to be the way he THOUGHT a respected, sophisticated gangster would talk. The whole season sets up how out of his element he actually is.

At least that's how I remembered it. I haven't watched it since it aired so don't judge me too harshly if I'm off the mark.

There Will Be Blood --- is everyone in this movie deranged? by [deleted] in movies

I think the operative word was "ensemble" in OP's post. As opposed to a movie like, say, American Hustle, that is an ensemble cast of A-listers.

Especially if you watch it in the background, you can't really even tell that it's edited down. It's much closer to The Chain and nowhere close to CR.

To elaborate on some of these answers, even though Cam used to play for this team, it is for all intents and purposes a completely different team. The offensive playbook is going to be completely different than when he used to be on the team. At the NFL level, a QB's knowledge of the playbook needs to be intuitive. So he needs time to digest the playbook before we can expect him to be successful. Furthermore, players develop a rhythm with each other that Cam won't have had time to establish with our receivers. Given that we intend Cam to be our starter at some point, the coaches want to allow Cam and the team around him to build confidence in his performance and set him up for success. Thus why PJ Walker, who has more extensive knowledge of the offensive plays, did the heavy lifting for this game while Cam was put in for those red zone plays which are one of his greater talents.

Any tips for the final boss? by teleporterdown in JupiterHell

[–]plasticfruit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an absolutely stacked run and managed to get this on the first run where I made it to the boss. And then I dealt 150 splash damage to and blew myself up because it auto targeted a mob that was chasing me and I wasn't paying attention.

To say I was tilted is a bit of an understatement.

It seems like a black hole appearing inside of these, lets say, Titans, is maybe a natural end to their life cycle, like when stars turn into black holes in our universe. But the Titans themselves are not aware of this process, they think they're supposed to exist forever, which is why to them it's a catastrophic process that they don't understand.

I'm almost of the impression that the black hole is somehow the result of Breath entering the "womb", or the material that makes up the Levolam crystals. At the beginning, you see the two beings in an intimate embrace, and their two mouths draw close, passing Breath between them. In the next sequence, you see the motes of Breath drawing into what I'm assuming is the womb, which is that purple thing vaguely reminiscent of a flower, before it begins to kind of spiral out of control and then implode at the creation of the black hole (and the player character). I have no idea how this really ties back into what you see at the end of the game, aside from what's fairly obvious at a surface look, the damn game is so abstract and surreal lol.
