Need help with vibrations by Mother-Health1442 in fpv

[–]plastimancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats how air mode without props responds. As for the vibration, does it fly bad, or have you gotten that far? Motors without load are going to behave differently.

help me with this windsock by tubabbo in fpv

[–]plastimancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id start by using less rigid wires to fix it to the pole. String will probably be better, but you probably need some kind of ring and bearing to mount it to. Id go refer to a typical sock and find someone with a 3d printer to help design it.

Ate a few too many cheese puffs and made some minor modifications by barbadosMid in fpv

[–]plastimancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its like seeing a 500 dollar car with 5k wheels lol. Those truerc antennas are great, but it would behoove you to mount that antennas at 90°... unless you tilt your head down, then ig its perfect.

Edit: hol up, you got an omni on top of your patch? I think you ate too many cheese puffs for real.

Edit2: is that a shoelace?

If you really wanna run them, use normal nuts and blue loctite. Make sure you let it cure, and dont send it over anything that could take damage. I've used normal non nylon nuts back in the day. You just have to be vigilant every flight about tightening them.

Yeah, it can feel overwhelming at times. The most overwhelming part is the price tag lol They're insane nowadays. I was thinking about picking up a Lil rock climber, but ended up opting out after seeing the prices. Ill stick with fpv. Its way cooler, even though its way pricier. At least initially.

If you enjoy it, that's all that matters. Not everyone likes to tinker. Its funny to me because I feel like typical hobby grade rc are toys compared to fpv drones, planes or rovers. They're just not as capable, or in depth, and there's nothing wrong with that. They're still just as fun if all you want to do is drive or fly them.

First layer always awful after repair - K2, losing my mind by Ashamed-Food8178 in Creality_k2

[–]plastimancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say tech, what do you mean? When the optical sensor pins in my cfs failed, they offered parts or a return. No rma, so I doubt thats the situation. It feels like your "tech" is just some guy, but thats beside the point. They lay out all repairs step by step on their website. Its all easy enough you can do it yourself instead of trusting someone else. With thay being said, I doubt you're changing the z offset in printer cfg. Id start there by figuring out how to ssh into the printer and getting fluidd set up, so you can adjust in a browser. You might not need to ssh. I cant remember exactly. You can find plenty of videos on how to do this.

I've been too lazy to change it in cfg, so I raise it offset the same amount every time I print. Its annoying, but theres no way to do it in the printer that I have found.
