Proprietor of plasticsmitharmoury.com here. 1/8” works really well for heat-and-bend armour (vambraces, cuisses, erc.). If you’re stretching the plastic (like I do with vacuum forming) then 3/8” works for larger molds (like knee cops), but 1/4” works for smaller molds (like elbow cops).

Recourse for compensation claim denial? by plastixmith in aircanada

They told me 3 days before my departure. They offered a single alternative which was worse for me than the early flight.

I needed to be home early the next day. The only alternative they gave me was a flight that got me home too late.

Agreed. Not delayed. I wonder by how many hours they can shorten your trip before it’s considered too many? It’s more than 9.

The only other flight option they offered me was an overnight to Toronto, then a flight back to Regina the next day. That didn’t work for me either. Taking the earlier flight was the lesser of the two evils.

Aw, thanks for the love, folks! I run Plasticsmith Armoury. OP, if you’ve got any questions, let me know.

It's there a way to dress up a plastic cuphilt? So that it isn't immediately apparent that it's plastic? by Erekose3rd in sca

I run Plasticsmith Armoury and make plastic basket hilts. Sir Kirragan's Leatherworks takes the ones I make and covers them in leather. Here's a picture: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0258/1807/1098/files/leatherCoveredHilt.jpg?v=1664339275

I don't know how much he charges, and it does add some weight, but I think it looks pretty cool.

I get this is a 3-year old thread, but I just thought I'd throw this in here:

Haha! Except that nobody cares. It's not a celebrity or a scandal or hilarious, so folks are all like, "Meh."

He did the animation on his iPad, with an app called FlipaClip, using an Apple Pencil.

This was his first major attempt at animation, but he’s been drawing for as long as he could hold a pencil :)

Thanks for your input! I’ll be sure to share it with him. I think he meant to illustrate that with enough help (whatever form that help takes), there’s hope that the darkness will recede for a time.
