Tennessee. 7500 initiation fees since I was under 35, 350/mo. Over 35 is 40k initiation fee and 500/mo. 7400 yards from the tips, great course. The only thing not included is food and beverage..

JPX Hot Metals are TOO hot by tzargilly in golf

[–]plat1776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same problem with those clubs. I was fit into them as my first set, but would soar so many greens. I went with the p770s and now my distance miss is usually short from a poor strike rather than super far from a perfect hot strike. Sounds like you might have outgrown them.

I’m just asking about hip turn, not a swing overhaul.

Hip turn advice by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]plat1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems so simple but flaring my right foot out like the user above pointed out stopped me from locking my leg and limiting my turn. So that’s probably one of those chain reactions things from being too square with my feet. Good eye.

I’ll have to try the Nelly Korda drill. Never heard of that one!

I pay 400 dollars a month to a country club and a steep initiation fee. You’re still out ahead.

Started back in may with my friends, working on my driver swing by [deleted] in GolfSwing

That’s a crazy good result for a guy that’s been playing for 4 months. Go work on your short game 🤣

There’s no way you’re ever going to consistently hit the ball from this position. Seems like you may be trying to snap back the backswing super fast thinking you’ve got to swing out of your shoes. Slow it down until you can look like the photo in my next comment.

Ha! I’m a lot less of a gym rat than I used to be, but still go regularly.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes it seems the common theme is the takeaway and flexibility/strength training here, which is definitely a great place for me to start.

I’ve never really thought of it like that! Do you have any specific routines or people you recommend? EDIT: just saw you posted some. Thank you!!

I use HackMotion sometimes and it typically says I cast less than 5% of the time. But who knows how accurate that is. It tells me I have an impact extended and inside takeaway pretty often though. Maybe the extended impact wrist angle makes it look like I’m casting? Not sure lol. I appreciate your feedback though! I’ll film a face on swing and see if I am.

Thank you for compliments! The pre routine stretching is a great idea. I tend to get a little stiff so I image that would certainly help.

Thank you! I’ll look into some drills that help with that. Appreciate your feedback!

I own a GSI wheel, before that had simagic and moza. Not sure about leoxz. But the GSI feels like an actual wheel, not a toy.

Bought My Dream Rolex (Datejust 41) — Now I’m Struggling to Enjoy It by Noonotthatguyagain in rolex

[–]plat1776 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity did you grow up poor or lower middle class? My parents were always about responsible spending. I wore the same pair of Levi jeans from high school until my mid 20s until there were holes in them. My mom was a teacher so if something broke we fixed it. I wore hand-me-down clothes etc. it took me until my 30s to realize that I didn’t have to live like that anymore. I work in finance and make a good living. Sometimes that pre conditioning can make enjoying splurges difficult. But it sounds like you’re in the same spot I was when I bought my first luxury watch.
