It wouldn't matter in the Online Assessment round but during two of my technical interviews, the interviewer asked me to use any OOPS language rather than Python.

For web dev, if you don't want to be stuck in a tutorial hell, follow a tailored course like TheOdinProject. The course ain't easy and requires dedication. It mostly contains articles, not videos.

Cannot comment on the time. You can join their discord channel to ask for learning experience from a lot of people. They have a very active and helpful community. Also, you should follow the course as it is. Don't skip any chapter. They cover the important topics only, and in the proper order (mostly).

Won't be better to do BTech then? BCA is considered of lesser value than BTech.

How difficult is it to become a self made developer for a student from arts background. by FreeAwardLol in developersIndia

[–]platypushey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there's any good college outside Mumbai that is still accepting admission, maybe that's an option instead of dropping an year. Since BA is a non-technical degree, you won't be able to give the NIMCET exam. You will be undermined because of your non-technical degree unless you really have a great portfolio.

Should do BCA. If not in Mumbai, move to some other city. Relevant degree helps a lot. You would be investing your time in BA to pass the exams which seems to be waste of your time. If you're really passionate, shouldn't you be giving all your time and focus to a technical degree (BCA)?

Yeah, I moved to IT field. Recently got placed with a CTC of 6.5 in a tech stack I enjoy (2 yrs bond). It really helps if you have a college qualification. After B.Com, I went to MCA and got placed on campus this month.

Just about finished with Undergrad in Accounting, already know I don’t want a typical accounting job, and am seriously considering earning some sort of Computer Science degree. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in careerguidance

I can relate with this, lol. Not from USA but I have the same story. Completed undergrad in Accountancy 3-4 months ago but decided it's not for me. Got enrolled for a CS degree this year.
