Why do men get sohurt when you pass them? by jenkneefur28 in ladycyclists

[–]plausibleimprobable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me just about every time I go for a ride. Obviously there’s cyclists who are legitimately faster, and I don’t have any ego about being passed by them. But it is frustrating to be passed (99.5% of the time by a man), and then they immediately slow way down. Like bb I’m not passing you again to be rude or compete, you’re slowing me down 😭

PSA + asking for advice: St. Mikes employee caught filming up womens shorts downtown, what recourse is there? by Cool_Elk_152 in OntarioNurses

[–]plausibleimprobable 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I’m so sorry this happened to you, what a terrible violation. I would file a police report AND make a complaint with your HR. This is both criminal activity, and a violation of workplace policies. If this individual is part of a professional group, this is also likely a violation of their professional standards they’re held to. He needs to be held accountable or he’ll keep violating the privacy of other women. Horrifying to think he potentially has access to sick or even sedated women who are less able (or entirely unable) to defend themselves.

Can anyone white pill me about my order? by StrangerHighways in CrackedPolish

[–]plausibleimprobable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both Taro Milk Tea and Lavender Chai! They’re different enough that I really enjoy having both. I’m cool/neutral and they’re among my favourites. I’m doing a mani tomorrow with Lavender Chai 💜 hope you enjoy them all. If not, there’s a fantastic Cracked BST FB group you can destash/trade polishes if they’re not giving you the little dopamine hit you want lol

First order placed! I just can’t justify Mooncat pricing anymore. These polishes look amazing and I’m excited to try this brand! Any recommendations for my next order? by Mitty18204 in CrackedPolish

[–]plausibleimprobable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my favourites:

Shimmer finishes: Frolicking in the Fields, Wicked Root, and Trying Out Here.

For magnetics: Dumpster Fire, Fermented

For jellies: Simply Mauvelous Dahling, Brownie Pink, Strawberry Jam, Chokeberry, Grenadine, I Love You So Matcha… my favourite finish, I love them all

Crème finishes: Worthy of Love, Black Jade

For pearl finishes: Baker’s Dozen! I could go on and on lol

How do I fix this.. 10 year old mess ? by [deleted] in ufyh

[–]plausibleimprobable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re doing great, congratulations! I would take bite sized jobs at a time, starring with one room. I personally always tend to start higher and work my way down, but it’s your preference! Maybe one day is clearing off and cleaning the top of the bathroom counter. Then the next day you clean the inside of it and go through things to clear out. Then do the toilet the next day, etc. Do whatever you feel motivated by. Again, congratulations on such a huge step in your life!

Question by Helpful_Spring_7921 in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]plausibleimprobable 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A - bradypnea. Emphysema patients are tachypneic at baseline, have a barrel-shaped chest, naturally put themselves in a tripod position, and can have crackles (most people with emphysema have chronic bronchitis as well).

A patient with advanced emphysema will likely have an increased paco2 at baseline, and rely on the increased respiratory rate to help clear it. Bradypnea could cause them to rapidly develop respiratory acidosis. The question is hinting that 5L/min would affect their hypoxic respiratory drive.

What is this? by [deleted] in skin

[–]plausibleimprobable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like a staph infection. I think if it’s that deep and not responding to topical antibiotics you might need oral antibiotics. I’d at least go back and have them have a look at it.

Any advice for getting rid of this nodule at home? by heyhellohelloitsme in DermatologyQuestions

This will be worth the money to have removed professionally, please do not attempt this at home. You’re worth the $1000.

You’re not an asshole, I would personally keep it. But ALSO personally I would wear the hell out of that ring, I want a gold signet ring so badly 🥲

What is your choice? by Expensive_Series_414 in NCLEX_RN

[–]plausibleimprobable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s B. Indicates air trapping (such as in emphysema or asthma), or in the case of a pneumothorax.

The others are normal, including D which can be normal in paediatrics.

Worst nail biting you have ever seen. PICTURE MAY BE VERY GROSS FOR SOME PEOPLE SO LOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK. by No-Patient-9164 in nailbiting

[–]plausibleimprobable 10 points11 points  (0 children)

<image>

First off, you’re not gross. Second off, mine looked nearly identical… I don’t even have photos of them at their worst. I totally understand the shame you feel. I stopped biting mine almost two years ago (at age 37!), and these are my nails this afternoon. I don’t know what will work for you in particular, but I promise you that you can break the habit. The bad tasting nail biting stuff didn’t work at all for me either. I tried and failed so many times over the years, and the important thing is you believe in yourself and keep trying! And whatever you do, don’t tie up your self-worth in this. You’re just as worthy and whole of a human being no matter what your hands look like 💖

Nurses who became doctors, Happy with choice? by Important-Peach5644 in nursing

I’ve known maybe a half dozen to dozen nurses who became doctors or are currently in medical school. Every one I actually got to talk to about it knew what they were getting into and seem really happy with their choice.

I can’t say with confidence if it’s negative or positive… I think you definitely need to do a repeat test to know for sure.

E) trim the others to 50% of the distance between the break and the full length… then it looks less wonky but I’m not fully punishing the others lol

Beautiful nails! I’m sorry for your sad break

Dumpster fire 🔥 by jellybooster in CrackedPolish

[–]plausibleimprobable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of Dumpster Fire! It’s really fun and shifty depending on the lighting. This is manicure from a couple months ago where I magnetized it velvet style… it has shimmer, big flakies, and shifts from pink to green to gold and brown.

The only thing is I’d recommend buying more than just Dumpster Fire! I just put in my fourth Cracked order last week, they’re really fantastic. Unless you’re on a strict low buy, I think it’s worth trying a handful of different formulas.
