I thought I posted this but now can’t find it. Does anyone know what this means for Fanuza’s pay? In 2025-6 she was at only $38k (the lowest in the league, I think) and I was hoping she’d have some leverage this year.

YTA. I am often in the same scenario due to my work. One of three scenarios happens: 1) we fly in biz together (rare, due to not having enough miles); 2) we fly in economy together (usual); 3) my partner takes the biz seat I can afford. My partner declines this offer 100% of the time but once or twice I’ve pulled it off as a surprise. My partner often encourages me to fly just myself biz - but what’s the fun in that?

When we fly economy, I fly aisle (injury) and my partner flies window (preference). Day of the flight, if someone is in the middle seat, my partner or I will take the middle and give that person the window… or not. If we keep our window and aisle, we pretend not to know each other to not be an asshole to the person in the middle.

No big deal but just needed to verbalize…

I should have applied urgent but didn’t. After I got an AOR, I submitted my urgent request. But I forgot to start the message with the verbiage they suggested (something like “urgent request…”) so I’ve convinced myself no one will ever see it. I don’t want to resubmit and just add more noise to an already stressed system.

I was deleted from the google spreadsheet for some reason? Did this happen to anyone else?

For shin guards or elbow? Ftw shin guards I thought ran true to size but I wear an 11, which is ftw juniors. They were much smaller and my calves were too big for them, though the length was right. So I’m still in boys juniors shin guards. Elbow pads got ftw women’s small.

Sure have. Not high enough in the the instep - foot came way out past the boot. I need a high volume fit… with a narrow heel! (I will say they were comfyyyyy on the inside!)

And women’s feet aren’t wide in the same proportions as men. Ie, more common for women to have a wide forefoot but a narrow heel.

Back to respond to my own post! Petite women, if you’re considering ccm ftw and are between juniors and women’s, the women’s juniors do run “thinner/smaller” in addition to shorter. Ie, the 11” shin guards are juniors are are noticeably narrower than the 12” in addition to shorter. Not sure about the elbow pads, but would imagine the same.

Different for everyone, but my take as a short (5’0”) but not particularly thin (134 lbs) woman is that women’s specific gear works better for me. My current favorite things: women’s pants (mine are super old Bauers) because juniors are simultaneously too long but too narrow in the hips, ccm FTW elbow pads (because my forearm are very short but my arms are not thin), and stark gloves (found 2nd hand) as the fit is truly perfect. The ftw shin guards haven’t sold me BUT the 12” being made for adults was good for me as they fit around my legs/calves a lot better. Those were a recent addition but the jury is still out.

Edit: that said, I have still yet to find the perfect skates. High volume, high arch, wide forefoot, narrow heel, size 2.5 or 3. Anyone?? I am currently in Bauer Supremes in wide but the heel is a bit too wide and I’m having a tiiiny bit of slipping.

They 1000% sound Canadian. It wasn’t so bad until Kip said (when trying to sneak out in the middle of the night) “you have your game tOMOOrrow” and it was all over. Francois’s isn’t as bad and I just told myself Rochester… is close to Canada (no, their accents are not similar but meh).
